Jake is feckin’ tired, man. Days are going by slower and slower, like time has been turning into molasses. Churning like butter by hand and exhausting him into a sluggish shadow of a person. Can’t one day just go by without feeling like Father Time is holding back the hands of life’s clock?

He just wants to get to the end. What end? Whichever one ends his pain and suffering.

I’ll go with Dillon because his reaction would be Pure Confusion. My boi is terrible at recognizing when he likes someone himself, much less when someone else likes him.

His closest friend would be either Kory or Carson at this point in his life. If Kory were to confess, he’d probably consider being in a relationship with him. They get along well and they trusted each other wholly after only a few days. Dillon feels like he can be himself around Kory, like he belongs somewhere so it would likely go well to date him.

If it were Carson, he’d be so taken back he’d be flung back to the beginning of the story. Given the fact that she’s 17 and he’s 19, he’d feel like that would be a good enough of a reason to turn her down gently. She also already has a girlfriend so he’d feel like a homewrecker.
