-grandson of god

-son of the most evil guy in the world

-mother left him in a school for villainous kids to try and undo his fate

-befriended a snake dude before being betrayed by him

-ended up speedrunning his destiny to fight his own father by being forced to grow up via time magic

-watched his friend die to save everyone

-got his father uncorrupted and was able to actually spend time with him before he straight up died

-watched another friend turn into a ghost

-died himself

-got tricked and used by a girl hellbent on revenge because their battle with the great devourer killed her parents

-father is resurrected, but only his evil half, and beats the shit out of him

-briefly dies again

-watched his friend die again

-his father cares for a plant more than him

-almost lost himself to his oni form

-watched another another friend sacrifice themself to save everyone

-faces off against the same villain who wanted revenge and resurrected his father

-out of nowhere ninjago just fucking splits into a billion pieces and his entire group gets thrown across dimensions

so like, what the fuck did antigone go through? NOTHING, compared to a fraction of that shit.

movie: love and monsters

released: 2020

romance?: yes, and its very central to the plot, it is the main characters drive

stars: 4/5 as a movie, 2/5 as an aro rep movie

commentary: in a post apocalyptic world, the main character joel has been stuck in a bunker for 6 years with a group of other adults, all of whom have partnered up. he had a girlfriend before the apocalypse but can only contact her through a terrible radio. he decides to head out and find her, but when he does she tells him she grew up from their relationship and he should too. i believe joel that joel never had a chance to explore his arospec identity and just thinks he loves this girl because he doesn't know he doesn't have to. to me, the movie makes a lot more sense if he isn't actually romantically into her and just wants to go on a dangerous adventure to get out of his bunker with all the couples. his character prefers robots and cows and dogs over having a relationship.

1. How many words have you written this year? I'm gonna go by posted words, bc that's a lot easier to find out lol. I have written roughly 90.6k cumulative words this year!

3. What work are you most proud of (regardless of kudos/hits)? I am so so proud of my writing in Can I Keep It Real With You? It's poetic, it's visceral, the fic itself is based off my favorite couplet in modern poetry.

9. Favorite pairing you wrote for this year? Scarian in Dust in Proximity! (bc I looooove prox with all my heart teehee)

13. What's your longest work of the year? It Fills my Vision, I Can Hardly Speak, at 14.9k.

14. What's your shortest work of the year? My shortest work is technically BLACK GREEN BLUE, a prelude to a much larger series that will get posted eventually lol, but since there's so little context for that one, we'll also say Cyclical counts. It's a oneshot, standalone, no outside context needed.

20. Which work of yours have you reread the most? It's actually Anti-Decorum, that sob took so long to write, holy shit. Months and months and months (it even went through a fandom change).

23. Did you do any collaborative works this year? Barring one that I can't mention (bc it's a secret >:3) I did! Concept of Joy my beloved.

29. Favorite line/passage you wrote this year? Okay. This is so difficult. I really love this one bit from Dust in Proximity:

Scar propped his head up on one hand, staring at Grian like an ever-patient deity.

Was he yet deified? The glow of the single lantern that Grian hadn’t snuffed out ringed Scar’s head with red light. Was he yet more than a man, and less than a Sun? Grian felt a twisting in his gut, a wail that wanted to spring free of his lips.

Something about the sand between his skin and the sheets made him want to scream. This was not how it was supposed to go! It was running smoothly, like perfectly heated wax running down the slim side of a candle. The flame was contained and bright, the shape that it should be.

21.favorite dating sim (and favorite character)?

I have so many dating sim games and visual novels ahgsdjf

Brilliant Shadows is one, I forget who my fave character is but it’s a fun game.

Rising Angels: Reborn is a classic for me, Zuri being my fave(still sad I didn’t get a good ending for her).

I’ve only played like 5 hours of Cardinal Cross but Egon will always be my fave <3

Compliments, fluff, and lots of attention.

what kind of fics do u write? slash fic, gen, character studies? one shots/multi chap? what's the longest fic you ever wrote? what fic are you most proud of?

I need you to know that you’re my new favorite person. Seriously, this means the world to me, I’ve been wanting to ramble about this stuff for forever!

What kind of fics do u write? Slash fic, gen, character studies?

I think the best way I can describe my fics are hurt/comfort and platonic bonds, usually between siblings and/or parents. I don’t really know why or when I started down this path, but that’s what a majority of my writing is about these days (I blame it on being close with most of my family and wanting to see more healthy/close relationships between families in media).

I occasionally delve into romantic stories too, but not very often, and I’d at least say my Bright Family Values AU is a character study to some extent, but again, it’s following the hurt/comfort and platonic relationships theme. Hopefully at some point I’ll gain the inspiration to try new settings and ideas, but for now, this is kinda my weird ass niche.

One shots/multi chap?

I’d probably say I prefer writing one-shots, since I don’t have to stress about an uploading schedule/coming up with a longer, more connected story, but at the end of the day, multi chapter fics tend to draw me in more, so I get myself stuck on those projects. Moment of silence for all the people who got attached to my old WIPs, I am so sorry for not continuing them 😅

What's the longest fic you ever wrote?

After checking AO3, Aerospace Accident is my longest fic by far at roughly 179k, although it’s sadly discontinued due to frustration on my part with where it was heading, and how I wrote certain characters. I’ve heavily debated rebooting the series, but I’m still on the fence about it. Still, I’m proud of how much work I put into that fic, and it was a lot of fun sharing it with the Villainous fandom and meeting so many friends/mutuals along the way!

What fic are you most proud of?

Oof, this is a tough one. Some part of me wants to say Aerospace Accident since it’s my longest fic, or Monster Apartments AU since it was the most popular and I got to work on it with my older brother, but honestly I think All on Memorex is my favorite. I dunno, although that fic is severely depressing, it means a lot to me and pays homage to a dark period of my life, and the rest of the series (that I’m still working on btw!) is meant to be a recovery story, and that personally means a lot to me, especially as of late.
