I need you to know that you’re my new favorite person. Seriously, this means the world to me, I’ve been wanting to ramble about this stuff for forever!
What kind of fics do u write? Slash fic, gen, character studies?
I think the best way I can describe my fics are hurt/comfort and platonic bonds, usually between siblings and/or parents. I don’t really know why or when I started down this path, but that’s what a majority of my writing is about these days (I blame it on being close with most of my family and wanting to see more healthy/close relationships between families in media).
I occasionally delve into romantic stories too, but not very often, and I’d at least say my Bright Family Values AU is a character study to some extent, but again, it’s following the hurt/comfort and platonic relationships theme. Hopefully at some point I’ll gain the inspiration to try new settings and ideas, but for now, this is kinda my weird ass niche.
I’d probably say I prefer writing one-shots, since I don’t have to stress about an uploading schedule/coming up with a longer, more connected story, but at the end of the day, multi chapter fics tend to draw me in more, so I get myself stuck on those projects. Moment of silence for all the people who got attached to my old WIPs, I am so sorry for not continuing them 😅
What's the longest fic you ever wrote?
After checking AO3, Aerospace Accident is my longest fic by far at roughly 179k, although it’s sadly discontinued due to frustration on my part with where it was heading, and how I wrote certain characters. I’ve heavily debated rebooting the series, but I’m still on the fence about it. Still, I’m proud of how much work I put into that fic, and it was a lot of fun sharing it with the Villainous fandom and meeting so many friends/mutuals along the way!
What fic are you most proud of?
Oof, this is a tough one. Some part of me wants to say Aerospace Accident since it’s my longest fic, or Monster Apartments AU since it was the most popular and I got to work on it with my older brother, but honestly I think All on Memorex is my favorite. I dunno, although that fic is severely depressing, it means a lot to me and pays homage to a dark period of my life, and the rest of the series (that I’m still working on btw!) is meant to be a recovery story, and that personally means a lot to me, especially as of late.
