Just a quick shot through the eyepiece. Not much, other than the black dot being a planet that is 3,000 miles across and is 57 million miles away. #Mercury in front of our sun! It’s the tiny black dot in the top third. Who goes there? It's only Mercury, traversing the Sun! This event won't happen again until 2032, visible in Africa and Asia, so we feel very lucky to have caught it with our own telescope.
