incredibly funny implication that the hive says it feels so wonderful to be part of it is bc the virus is keeping them super happy high all the time
also if its inducing overloads of those chemicals its causing hyper-empathy and thats why it has a freak out any time an individual gets mad at it

calling it the hivemind is a bit misnomer because while it does have the collective knowledge of everyone living, it is not everyones input together but one driving force with billions of peripherals
