not sure if you have a fish design for mystra, but an anglerfish would be appropreate perhaps, also, a barbeled dragonfish or lionfish.

HA the way i instantly thought about that mermando when read "flopping around suffocating" xD BUt, actually i had some headcanon thoughts about it when i was making this thing He can breathe on land, i mean, till sunlight won't dry him out (he has a nose after all, so why not) He just shouldn't stay dry Althouth the real thing he can't live without are the flowers from underwater mermaid castles :3 (Bc he stays cursed by his goddess in all aus) This Gale (this is my design) doesn't know his mermaid goddes is evil and he just likes her flashy lil' fishtoy so she keeps him in the depth like this (yeah by keeping him cursed and making eat strange flowers she raises for him) ... a strange concept i guess but still love it
