Spinning some very nice Bluefaced Leicester fibre.
All plyed up and under the supervision of the Nosferatu doll I made in October. The yarn is very Halloween-y with it’s orange and purple. I have more fibre to spin but also have a plan to fire up my sewing machine and make a couple new little crochet project bags. Maybe….
Falkirk fibre. Look I finally remembered that spinning yarn is a thing I love to do. Autumn was pretty much a write off for getting any sort of creativity done, December was full of illness and I hurt my leg just before New Year’s Eve.
Everything is generally terrible in the world but gosh darn it I’m determined to do the things that make me happy. I have never been one for resolutions but with everything being as it is the best I can do is be kind, to others and myself, be creative where I can, and read a little bit more when I can.
Spinning some Corriedale and watching Band of Brothers. Everything is terrible and I need to watch heroes destroy nazis as a break from watching the real time fall of the US.
Fuck everything I have fibre to spin.
Wolfman.
Spinning and plying and a little stitching too.
The Green Knight from doodle to folk art doll.
And lastly a little freckled wip. I have been incredibly short on creativity lately but I’m trying to do my best. The yarn I’m in the middle of plying right now with the dog snoring beside me and a Mary Beard documentary about everyday Roman lives.
I am way behind on watching Halloween movies or doing many crafts this autumn so far. I did stitch up an order of Halloween cats, a frog I’ve named Lloyd Frogler, and settled down to spin some appropriately dyed Corridale fibre into yarn and watch The Witch Files.
The movie wasn’t bad, kinda the Craft meets the Blair Witch Project with bonus points for Paget Brewster rocking up as the local copper. Now I kinda want to watch some of my favourite episodes/seasons of Criminal Minds.
Next on the movie on the list is probably going to be something fluffy like Hocus Pocus or Practical Magic while I finish spinning the neon pumpkin fibre or make a very, very late start on drawlloween. Ahem. 🎃
Coffee and Crochet. Been very sick for awhile (the kind of sick with multiple trips to the a&e/er) and today I’m feeling a bit more like myself. At least enough like myself to have dug out my favourite crochet hook and a ball of yarn I spun on the wheel last year.
