Day 28 features Merida from Brave. One of the rare Disney princesses who doesn’t end up with a love interest, isn’t saved by a prince, and whose story features instead the repair of a fraught relationship with her mother. She challenges the patriarchal traditions of her culture and clan, and in the end is able to bring her people and her family together. Definitely want to see more Disney princesses like her in the future.
