I’m confused as to the sidhe’s motivations in regards to Arthur, specifically comparing 1x07 (the Gates of Avalon) and 3x06 (the Changeling), because in 3x06, it’s established that they’ve had a twenty-plus-year-long plan to get a sidhe to marry Arthur. But in 1x07, they’re perfectly happy to kill Arthur and take his soul?

"Hunting requires speed, stealth, and an agile mind!" Arthur yells at Merlin right after Merlin rams into his ass. Apparently romance does not require those things. Merlin's being so explicit.
