If anyone needs proof that Irish actress Katie McGrath’s star is on the rise then they only have to look at the company the Wicklow beauty

I think the photo on the left goes with a 2009 Interview in the Irish Times.
DESCRIBE WHAT YOU'RE WEARING The black jeans are from TopShop, the white shirt is from All Saints and the T-shirt from American Apparel. The leather belt is from a London boutique and the boots are by Pedro Garcia, from Coco Ribbon. The scarf is my mother's.
(Her mom worked for an Irish designer making knitwear. In a different interview she mentions that and her mum making scarfs for her, so likely means that and not that she’s wearing a scarf that belongs to her mother.)
WHAT'S THE MOST YOU'VE EVER SPENT? This Balenciaga bag, which I bought in Paris with my first pay cheque, and it's the best thing I've ever bought. It fits scripts inside, as well as being so simple. My mother bought the Hermès scarf (that's on it) in Paris.
Actor Katie McGrath talks fashion with Deirdre McQuillan.
The power of the viewer.
Few of us know what it’s like to be a television actor at all, let alone an actor at the center of a wildly popular slash pairing. We know that Colin Morgan tries to focus on the script and his own interpretation of the characters rather than dabble in fandom, but Katie McGrath lauds the imagination and enthusiasm of fans:
Says McGrath, “I think that’s part of what makes Merlin such a successful show, though. There’s such a scope for the audience to read in whatever they want into these stories and these characters and I think that’s why it’s lasted for so long. We film one thing, we film scripts that we’re given, but there’s such a broad interpretation of these characters and these stories that I think that’s why you have such a broad audience. We feel very lucky for that.”
