Sorry for the late answer, but here we goooo, I drew it for you underneath:

Two of these are from Xigbar, because he’s the easiest to screenshot a clear picture of it, plus the actual image of Lea/Axel we’re talking about, including a drawing of Roxas I did months ago.

It’s not wasy to spot the difference, but you can barely see that the charm is there, ALSO, the chain has 5 links instead of three, which was the old coats standard. 

And again, let me repeat: this isn’t something they changed just as a new upgrade for kingdom hearts 3 like a retcon because Lea has the old coat in the Sunset trailer, while Xigbar has the new one in the same trailer.

HOWEVER, yes, they have changed clothes after trailers for post production stuff (goofy and Donald having their disney outfits in Traverse Town versus their KH outfits, Sora and Riku having their KH1 outfits in DDD trailers while they were supposed to have their DDD outfits.) so YES, there might be something there, but.... I don’t think it is. 

I think this is on purpose. When you take the zipper charm, and look at the X-blade design, you see the X at the base, it’s there, it’s staring us straight in the face, they’re being literally tagged. None of our protags have X’es on them now, they got rid of all the X’es, not even Sora’s shoes got an X on them.... But Lea does. On his coat.
