Last night had not gone according to plan. It was such a pity, really, as Cedric had been so excited. Roland had asked him to entertain for some visiting royals. There was a gleam in his eye that Cordelia had not seen in who-knows-how-long. She knew Cedric loved to plan, and he loved to show off. It had been nice seeing him in such high spirits the past week. He had even asked for her help in decorating the ballroom.
Unfortunately, Cordelia had a previous engagement and couldn’t attend the festivities, but she wished him good luck and expected to hear all about it in the morning. However, instead of singing praises of her brother, she was greeted by a surly maid staff and a disgruntled Baileywick. Judging by the large scorch marks and shattered glass covering the ballroom, things had not gone well at all.
As expected, he wasn’t in the workshop. “Oh, dear...” she sighed and made her way to his room. Taking a deep breath, she knocked on the door. Not hearing anything, she pressed her ear to the door and spoke gently. “It’s me...May I come in?”

“I’m just saying that a spell could work, hombre. If you just magic me up, I can cross!”
❁ ❁ “ No, I’m a human--I’m not going to possess you just because I’m dead. ”
Well, this wasn’t right. Somehow, she ended up in this lair, or lab--or wherever this place was. Confusion was inevitable upon seeing each other, as she hadn’t expected this one bit. Both needed time to recover from the shock in which they gave one another, & as soon as she got her grip back, she was frustrated more than afraid. As if she hadn’t dealt with enough madness before, this had to happen.
“ ¿Are you able to send me back? I shouldn’t be here for too long--I have a familia waiting for me on the other side. ”

“Would you believe that there was a princess party and I was actually invited?”

After such a harsh Winter, the first day of Spring in Enchancia dawned dreary and wet. All melting snow and rich, deep green. It was the perfect opportunity for Hokulani to display some nature magic for the children. As the Royal Enchantress of Hakalo, part of her responsibilities included managing the royal flower of the Kingdom of Hakalo, the Hibiscus. They dressed in clothing more appropriate for the weather before heading out into one of the gardens.
It was here that she showed them how nature possessed magic just like a person could. That it was just a matter of finding how to draw it out. Which she did to the rose bushes, triggering them to bloom. However, it was among the fun that she caught something else. While all of nature held magic, different things gave off different signatures. Plants were different from animals. And what she was feeling, faintly, was an animal.
It helped that it was crying out.
So they went to investigate and what they found was a tiny baby raven, freshly hatched. It had fallen, with its nest out of a tree. Probably due to the wind from the previous day. Yet there was no sign of its parents. It was weak, possibly out in the open since the night before, but it was a little fighter.
“What should we do?” Amber was clearly in distress, even offering up her handkerchief as wrapping for the baby bird, which Hoku used, and held it close to her body.
“Mister Cedric had a raven. Perhaps he can help it?” Sofia suggested.
“Let’s go!” It was James who lead the charge and the girls followed.
As they entered the castle, however, Hokulani stopped them. “I think it would be a good idea for me to go alone; we don’t want to overwhelm baby bird, after all. Why don’t you three go and warm up and I’ll make sure to give you a report after Cedric takes a look at it.”
After much arguing, the three children begrudgingly went off to change into dryer clothes and warm up near a fireplace. Hokulani followed the familiar path through the castle to Cedric’s workshop. Each step had her heart picking up its pace. Ever since he had explained to her what mistletoe was on Wassailia, and they exchanged a kiss, she had butterflies in her tummy whenever around him. Which was a lot, as he was the reason she had come to Enchancia in the first place.
She paused at the door, taking a deep breath, before entering. “Cedric? I need your help.”

Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather had always been a thorn in Maleficent's side. They were altogether too chipper, too heroic, and just plain too good. The fairies flittered about through several worlds, just as Maleficent did, so the evil fairy kept eyes on her old enemies in their travels. One world in particular where they visited often, Enchancia, interested her greatly.
Her spies reported that this world contained an amulet capable of summoning up princesses from across many worlds, including the Princesses of Heart. Such a power would be invaluable to Maleficent. Her mind was already concocting plans to exploit that power to rule the worlds.
She learned that Enchancia was home to a sorcerer who also sought the amulet. He wasn't anyone of particularly impressive power, but Maleficent knew better than to underestimate him. He could prove a most invaluable ally.
Maleficent materialized in Cedric's lair in a flurry of green flames to greet the sorcerer.
