Meropis

After the fall of the Ancients, some species ventured into the Great Blue Realm under the direction of the elemental dwelling within the blue Sol Emerald, Aquarius. This elemental helped them build their kingdom, Meropis, and then taught them the Mystic Melody so that they could protect themselves.

Aquarius went into a deep slumber inside the blue Sol Emerald after this. The people of Meropis built the Eusebes Shrine to protect the emerald and serve as a place of worship to the great elemental. The priestesses at this shrine are the ones who maintain the protective barrier through the Mystic Melody.

The barrier can only protect them from so much, however. There were still threats in the deep and pirates on the surface who threatened their peace. It became so dangerous that the ancient king formed an alliance with the Sol Empire. Meropis would be a vassal state with some continued autonomy, and they would receive both aid against pirates and power rings. In exchange, they relinquished the blue Sol Emerald and joined the empire.

Today, Meropis is ruled by King Puff and Queen Angelica. Princess Undina is set to inherit the throne. Additionally, Coral is the priestess maintaining the barrier through the Mystic Melody, and Pearly is her apprentice.
