OKAY I WAS EXCITED NOW I’M SCARED
1. What is more difficult for you, looking into someones eyes when you are telling someone how you feel, or looking into someones eyes when they are telling you how they feel?
I think that looking into someone’s eyes when I’m telling them how I feel is more difficult. Eye contact is this strange, spiritual, trusting gesture, that allows one to both convey and receive their own and someone else’s soul— if someone else offers that trust to me, I will humbly accept it. However, giving it is always harder, to initiate that trust and be sure that the person you’re giving it to won’t break it.
5. You can have one of the following two things. Which do you choose? Why? Love and Trust.
I usually think of them as being hand in hand, but if I was to choose one, it would be trust. I strive for the status of being trustworthy, and to be someone to confide in. If I’m able to love, and I’m able to receive trust from people around me, I’d be fulfilled.
8. Your best friend confesses that he/she has feelings for you more than just friendship. He/she is falling in love with you. What do you (or did you) do/say?
This would be a difficult situation, depending on the nature of their feelings for me, since I’m still figuring out how I feel feelings for other people. If they’re my best friend, I’d trust them enough to let us try out a relationship, and whatever happens, happens. I don’t think I’d stop wanting their friendship, no matter what— friendship, to me is more deeply rooted than to be able to destroy it with stronger feelings of affection.
18. Would you give a homeless person CPR if they were dying? Why or Why not?
This is a tricky question, since I don’t know how to perform CPR, the answer would be no— but if I did know CPR, I’d like to think I would.
20. Are you old fashioned?
WHAT DOES THIS QUESTION EVEN MEAN. If it means old-fashioned as in I appreciate the aesthetics and pop culture from past time periods, heLL YES
I can also cook and sew and knit and crochet if that’s what it means also— I like physical copies of things, and I value old fashioned ways of accessing media (that being said, I’m always on my computer and kindle and ipod and gaming system so uh)
but old fashioned could also mean stuck in the ways and ideals of people who were born and raised in previous time periods, which can get sticky really quickly— I try to be as open minded as possible, and to adapt my thinking and actions accordingly. Whether it be on the issue of gender roles, sexuality, or social justice, there’s always something new to learn and to be changed about the way one reacts. Being “old fashioned” in that sense, I hope to everything that I am not.
THANK YOU FOR ASKING I HOPE I DID NOT DISAPPOINT
