I’ve never really brought this up but it bugs me a lot how so little about Merry’s life post-canon is known because Estella is only mentioned on a family tree in the appendices and I don’t even remember if it’s mentioned if he has kids or not. Every other hobbit from the fellowship is mentioned except him for some reason. I like to believe that he’d have two kids with Estella, one boy and one girl, maybe twins? The girl would be named Eowyn and the boy would be named Theoden or some other reference to him as a way to honour him. Tolkien you wound me by not including this information
