I finally drew MerTavo and MerChoral again, but this time as smol merms! They're sleeping ^w^

(well shit, another octavo oc! ^^;) better type up these details before I forget. He’s omnivorous but his diet is mostly carnivorous, consisting mostly of fish and and some aquatic mammals and birds (think dog but he can eat more fruit and plant matter). I don’t want to give him gills but he can stay underwater indefinitely and on land which means he has evolved a means to breath in both environments (presumably his skin helps absorb oxygen when submerged as thats the largest organ on our body).

he is an aquatic mammal and is capable of generating electricity like the electric eel but better, he is still vulnerable to death via electric shock but not from himself (powerlines and so on are a danger to him). when charged, specialized skin cells along his body give off a yellow glow, a low voltage is all it takes to activate these cells.

his favourite dish is fish and chips.

Motivation had just been shot lately but I managed to churn out something for MerMay before it ended

Welp, guess this really IS gonna be a full-on AU now! Wouldn’t ya know it

Choral and Octavian have been added to the mix as a mermaid and octomaid, respectively

For convenience sake, I nicknamed them MerChoral and Bardtopus

Bardtopus is a happy adoptive father of these two, who both lost their parents when they were really young

I also did little bios and refs for them! I’ll stick ‘em under the cut!

First up is the main merman himself, Octavo! He’s very polite but very introverted, so he doesn’t go around that much. He also doesn’t talk a lot either. He is rather curious about humans and what they’re like (uh oh Little Mermaid ripoff spaghetti-o’s). He only talks a bunch around his found family, especially Choral

Choral is kinda the opposite of her adoptive brother. She’s more outgoing and extroverted. And quite talkative! But still, she and Octavo are inseparable. She’s also pretty curious about humans

Last but not least is Octavian. He’s very kind and gentle and as noted, is the adoptive dad of two orphaned merfolk. He’s also a bard in the underwater land where he lives. He hasn’t garnered up much attention, but he’s trying his best. Octavo’s trying to help out by becoming a bard as well

That’s them! And I have plans for a Gorgon Vaati as well, but he’s still in the works. Hope you like these!
