Meanwhile, back on the same houseboat as Blitz and Pixlee in a previous post:

(I assume you know what I mean--the one where Blitz Lumpkin and Pixlee Trollsom per "Trollkins" are having a few days' diving holiday in Troll fashion on a somewhat isolated spring in the backwaters of Troll County ... and all of a sudden, a mertroll comes along to engage them in some conversation. In continuing this, we now find the mertroll on the deck of the houseboat when ...)

PIXLEE TROLLSOM, to the mertroll: I just hope nothing's suddenly the matter with you--

A MERTROLL: I do have to admit, though, that we mertrolls have been fond of climbing on houseboat decks to strike up some animated conversation ... Now, I take it you're--

PIXLEE TROLLSOM: Pixlee Trollsom.

BLITZ LUMPKIN: And Blitz Lumpkin.

PIXLEE TROLLSOM, again: And we plan to do some diving in these parts for a few days.

A MERTROLL, with a slight bit of snark: Well, isn't that wonderful! And I'd be glad to be your guide ... but a bit of advice, if I may: Don't expect any sunken treasure especially under any circumstance whatsoever.

BLITZ LUMPKIN, anxious: Why not?

A MERTROLL: Being that we're Trolls for the most part, it's highly unlikely that such might ensue beyond the treasure to be had in simply spending some quality underwater time diving ... and just appreciating the beauty inherent underwater. (Aside) Not to mention maybe an occasional freshwater pearl.

PIXLEE TROLLSOM, somewhat excited: Freshwater pearls?

A MERTROLL: I do have to admit that finding freshwater pearls in springs such as these may be as close to treasure hunting as it's bound to get. And don't fall much for any lore about certain pearls being especially fortunate or lucky; these pearls just happen to emerge in clamshells every now and then!

BLITZ LUMPKIN: Wouldn't that be surprising--finding a freshwater pearl or two while we're diving!

PIXLEE TROLLSOM, explaining Blitz' eccentricities: You do have to excuse my boyfriend Blitz there; he can be well-meaning, but can sometimes get a little ahead of himself. I do accept that in Blitz, and it doesn't detract much from our friendship, I can assure you.

A MERTROLL: But when it comes to finding a freshwater pearl when diving in these waters, kids ... just keep it as a souvenir of this diving holiday more than anything, I'd recommend. Otherwise, things are certain to get rather introllesting when we're out diving ... especially should we encounter each other and just sense the beauty of the underwater realms.

PIXLEE TROLLSOM: In perfect Troll fashion, I'd say.

A MERTROLL: Glad to have met you at any rate ... and do enjoy the diving! (Whereupon the mertroll pulls off a rather graceful dive from the houseboat deck back to the spring, which delights both Pixlee and Blitz ... and inspires them to go into dive mode.)
