[Jemma sipped from the mug on her countertop, making a futile attempt to lessen the dull feeling at the back of her mind. Ever since Dr. Chettmen had dressed her down so effortlessly, she'd been staying into the late hours of the night, attempting to find a meaningful result in her mountains of experimental data. A futile effort considering the still-missing test subject B5, but one she felt a need to push through anyways. Chettmen had made it clear how little it would take to upset her already fragile Researcher position within the company. She couldn't risk disappointing him again; even if he didn't fire her, the mental strain of another lecture was something Jemma wasn't sure she could take.]

Sebastian Fletcher has never been anything close to normal in his life; the closest he's ever gotten has been working for the Black Mesa Research Facility, a job that most people wouldn't consider normal to begin with. But for Seb, it's the least stressed he's ever been in his life, and that's good enough. He has friends, a stable job, and for the first time ever, a chance at a decent life. Of course, it's not going to pan out that way; in fact, the goddamn world started ending about 6 hours ago, not that anyone noticed at the time. But Seb doesn't care. He has NEVER cared. He doesn't care about what exactly is happening, or what caused it, or how to stop it. He is not the One Free Man, he is not the Guiding Shephard, he's just Seb. And Seb just wants to live. That's not so bad, is it?

@mdudethegreat Sent me this image and I needed to pass it along to all of you. I'm not sorry.
Dr. Stevens, at a senior staff meeting: And I believe that about wraps up my proposal. Are there any suggestions? Objections? Harding: Dr. Stevens. What you just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I've ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent presentation were you even close to anything that can be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I object on moral grounds to this proposal; and may God have mercy on your soul. Dr. S: ...Ok. A simple 'No' would've done just fine, but uh-
IS ANYONE ALIVE OUT THERE???
Hey y'all. It's been a hot minute. From all of us. Suffice it to say, time and life have gotten the better of everyone involved in this horrific little mini-AU, and due to that, these characters we hold dear have been on hold for months, some for years. Life happens, you know?
But that brings me to the point. Due to poor management and impulse decisions, the original Mesaverse canon was left in an extremely poor state for months upon end, leaving little room for new stories, or even characters. So, in a move that has been discussed internally by many of us, we're considering a "Soft Reboot."
In short, what this would entail would be a reset of the Mesaverse timeline, flipping the script back to day dot, giving a fresh start to existing characters and allowing for new ones to be introduced. This would also allow both for former members and newcomers to get an opportunity to organically join the collective. This is an idea that's been in the air for a while, so we'd like some hard numbers to base a decision off of.
Should the Mesaverse do a Reboot?
