At the end of the world (Ushuaia)

I had been to Patagonia many times before but never to Ushuaia. It's beautiful. (The landscape, the city itself is pretty ugly, turist destination but very industrial)

I also found some pretty neat stuff:

1) A seagull

2) Cool rock at the beach with...those things (diente de perro)

3) Cool rock on the mountain (big)

4) More mountain cool rocks (bigs)

5) Even more mountain cool rock + wall of ice

6) Onion (large)

These are some of my fav pic of the Camino de Santiago in the meseta.

It took me around 30 days to walk the 799km from Saint Jean Piet de Port till Santiago.

It was the best experience of my life. It taught me how to live freely and happily with myself, carrying just a few important items in my backpack.

I learnt new things every day, met new people from all over the world, heard the most hearth breaking stories, tried the most tasteful food and wine, saw the most overwhelming sunsets.

But most of all I got to know myself better and better, and by the end of the Camino I felt my soul had been cleaned and strengthened.

I miss so much the pure empathy and love and generosity that I’ve experienced in the Camino, but I’ll keep it safe in my hearth and try to share it with other people in my day to day life.

Los colombianos siguen en alerta desde el pasado 24 de diciembre, cuando se presentó un sismo de 6,4 en la escala de Richter. Al cierre de esta edición, el Servicio Geológico Colombiano (SGC) ha registrado 231 réplicas que provienen del piedemonte llanero. Según expertos, esto es normal en un país sísmicamente activo.

Pero lo que aún no se ha podido explicar es que no se produjeron…

In viaggio sul cammino di Santiago - Terza parte

Le nostre valigie logore stavano di nuovo ammucchiate sul marciapiede; avevano altro e più lungo cammino da percorrere. Ma non importa, la strada è vita.

Sono passati circa sei mesi dalla seconda parte del nostro viaggio, un anno dalla prima. Siamo partiti da Saint Jean Pied De Port e arrivati a Burgos, poi da Burgos siamo arrivati a Leon. Oggi, nottetempo, l’aereo ci porterà a Madrid, poi un pullman a Leon e infine i piedi ci porteranno a Santiago. Come la volta scorsa partiremo a camminare direttamente appena arrivati a Leon. Sarà una tappa breve perché arriveremo intorno alle 16. Quel tanto da allontanarci dalla città ed immergerci nel cammino.

Fa quasi strano l’idea che questo cammino stia per finire. Cullato per anni, finalmente sta per arrivare al termine. Sappiamo già che non è vero, perché torneremo a fare Santiago – Finisterre, e poi certamente molta altra strada ma Santiago è un simbolo che ci ha uniti fin dal giorno in cui ci siamo incontrati la prima volta. Questa ultima parte probabilmente sarà meno spirituale e solitaria delle lunghissime mesetas che abbiamo affrontato durante l’inverno, meno sorprendente della prima parte del cammino in cui non sapevamo nulla di cosa aspettarci ma abbiamo imparato che ogni tratto, ogni giorno, ogni tappa regala scoperte, momenti, ricordi indelebili. Ci sarà molta più gente, molti più incontri, ci sarà la meta. Siamo di nuovo sulla strada, anche se non ce ne siamo mai davvero staccati. Un altro passo. Molti altri passi.
