( Given his record, probably. ) Silent for a long moment, his bold, proud statement still ringing in the air. ANUBIS’s back wings clicked to the side, as a hound’s would when trying to hear better, trying to decide what would happen if they let Cayde go.
They are no Vex, no, but that doesn’t mean they can’t still simulate situations, decide possible outcomes. He is known to be reckless, impulsive, outspoken. Daring. His time off the field might make him more so, and often have they heard him whisper to their Guardian to let him come with them. Despite this, he’s capable. They know this. He’s smart, quick, if the stories about him have any truth to them.
In the end, curiosity wins out. The little ghost floats out of the way, still watching, deciding not to alert the rest of the Vanguard of their Hunter’s actions. Not yet. ( Many simulations ended with disastrous results. Others, though, had more interesting, brighter outcomes. It’d be interesting to see which become reality. ) ↤
