shadowbringers really is like Shakespeare where everyone is all "it's the greatest thing on earth" and they get all annoying about it and then when you actually get around it's like "FUCK it really is the greatest thing on earth. god damnit"

literally bc ppl kept hyping it up to me and I DID believe it was good but I was like “yk I have rlly liked all the expansions so far for one reason or another I really wonder how good this one would be-” *gets shot 89 times*

I dooo find it immensely annoying when ppl are like “it gets good in shadowbringers” or whatever I think it was good beforehand actually but I absolutely see why ShB is a fan favorite!!! Like if you enjoyed the MSQ up to that point it’s gonna be INCREDIBLE

What does your OC lie about?

she's a pretty bad liar in the "traditional" sense of it. Couldn't keep track of what she's said nor make it believable. But if we're talking about lying through omission, a lot of things! But a big one is when she (rarely!) mentions her family and tribe. When she does, she almost always leaves the impression that she had a closer relationship with most folks there, when in reality she ended up increasingly isolated for years before she left in response to being outright rejected- she just. doesn't talk abt it.

She more or less has a thing for sharing the most palatable version of her life and self with others, and that means cutting out the unpleasant bits :)

Reading old reviews

@ragingscooter: I had to read this chapter a few times before I felt like I could properly review it but that turned into re-reading the story from the beginning and I can honestly say that I loved each and every chapter. From the beginning you set up this quick witted quirky story that got some many of us hooked. In fact, you had me at "meow". Each chapter showed us the slow but steady escalation of their relationship. You made me laugh, at one point made me almost choke to death on a french fry but overall you left me wanting more, a surefire sign that you created something that will be remembered. You started this story with Gail dropping her guard low enough to give Holly her number and accept an invite for a drink and here in the last chapter she wants to share a bed with her for comfort. I love how Gail has let Holly bring out the Gail that we all knew was hiding under the surface.

I really miss making people laugh and choke on french fries.
