From the love of my own comfort
From the fear of having nothing
From a life of worldly passions
Deliver me O God
From the need to be understood
And from a need to be accepted
From the fear of being lonely
Deliver me O God
Deliver me O God
And I shall not want, no, I shall not want
When I taste Your goodness, I shall not want
When I taste Your goodness, I shall not want
From the fear of serving others
Oh, and from the fear of death or trial
And from the fear of humility
Deliver me O God
Yes, deliver me O God
And I shall not want, no, I shall not want
When I taste Your goodness I shall not want
No, I shall not want, no, I shall not want
When I taste Your goodness I shall not want
When I taste Your goodness I shall not want
I shall not want
I shall not want

Drawn to You by Audrey Assad + Catholic Anthony Lockwood
I have been wanting to make this edit for weeks, but originally I wanted to do a video edit. Very quickly ran out of stamina trying to do that, for obvious reasons. You'd think Catholic scene packs should be easier to come by, but no. ANYWAY, I really like this song for Anthony because I think it embodies his faith (at least how I imagine it) very well— an irresistible draw, a "twitch upon the thread", that keeps pulling him back to the faith of his family, no matter how many times he drops it. No matter how many times he walks away or wants to walk away, there is a longing in his heart he can not satisfy elsewhere. He has tasted the bread of angels. And it's sweet aroma draws him Home.

Diary #3 - Lament
𝅘𝅥𝅮 I'm restless, and I rustle like a thousand tall trees; I'm twisting and I'm turning in an endless daydream. 𝅘𝅥𝅮 Oh…Why did you ever put the bow in my hands? The dreams won’t stop. Every night, I feel the overflow of Mist inside of my body. It feels like an obsession to wake up, stop everything I’m doing, grab my bow, and run wildly into the woods. The Green Word is roaring inside of me, itching to come out. How do I set it free?
Tonight, when I performed on the stage, I began to sing in Woodspeak. The words were foreign to my audience, and I could tell it upset them. But it is as if the Eorzean language had been forgotten, and I couldn’t stop. A few members cried. Some of the other girls wept and told me that I sung with so much pain that they couldn’t help but to sob and lament from listening to it.
I ran to the Arboretum to escape their fear.
Even this diary entrance doesn’t make sense. I’m babbling, not sure how to even put it into logical sense of what’s happening to me. I can barely touch my nouliths without it feeling strange. It doesn’t feel right to perform Sharlayan magick. Not when I can sense that I’m meant for something else. Mist swells inside of my body and I channel incomprehensible arcana until the surroundings drown in a levin storm and I scorch the earth in the Arboretum.
I’m exhausted by the time I return back to my private chambers in the Viper’s Nest. Before I collapse in my soft bed, I look into my mirror to undo the grit and grime that the Arboretum’s explorations placed upon me.
My eyes…
They’re glowing.
