Sorry, same anon here. I meant the new sequel series set in the late 50s (I think that’s when it’ll be, I can’t remember the exact year, but it’s a new era, basically). It was announced a few days ago, so it’s completely new. (No Cillian, new era, etc.)

oh dhshhs sorry my mind immediately went to the immortal man when you mentioned a sequel since it's the one i actually care about the most and still has our original folks lol. as for the new show, after reading the article, i wasn't quite sure how to feel at first !! mostly because i'm not really a fan of the whole "next generation sequel" trend and honestly i feel pretty fatigued by it since so many shows have been doing it lately just to cash in on nostalgia. (plus i rarely find the new actors all that likable).

still, the fact that steven knight is returning as showrunner and cillian murphy is involved as an executive producer is tempting enough for me to tune in. that said, i do have high hopes for it just like i do for the film and it sounds like there might even be opportunities for some of the original cast to appear in it, which is really exciting for me. idk i'm currently watching house of guinness and it's brilliant !! knight definitely still has it in him with all the rich writing, delicious dynamics and atmospheric vibes...and hopefully he'll deliver the same in the new show. although it might be difficult for me to really connect with the new generation without sorely missing the original cast, so it better be soooo good :/
