Drabble intro.

It had been seven months since he'd gotten his brother back.

There was an oily, insidious voice in the back of his skull that tried to interrupt his thoughts about getting his brother back. It hissed, It's been eleven months since Jack left you.

Piki had, with the aid of his therapist, learned to accept that the oily voice would never be silenced completely. He was getting better at resisting the urge to listen to it, to not flail and panic when it emerged. Instead, Piki said aloud, since he was alone in his flat, "I've got my brother back, and I'm immeasurably pleased about it."

Of course, he would never actually vocalize such a thought to Pitch. Heaven forfend his brother's ego receive any more fuel.
