AU: Circa 1992. ( In a modern world where Charming made it through the wardrobe with Emma & Snow) He tells his nine year old daughter all about his quest to find her mother and wake her from the queens sleeping curse.

“You had to kiss mommy to wake her up? Eww daddy that’s gross.” Emma crinkled up her nose giggling. David chose to use this reaction to his full advantage. She was his little princess after all.

“Yea. Very gross, Emmy. I only did it to save mommy. You should never kiss boys or girls unless it’s to break a curse. Even then you have to be much older first. Like thirty. Yea. Mommy and I were thirty.”

“Charming!” Snow playfully scolded as she lingered in the door way eyes misty and so full of love at the scene before her.

AU:

Snow and Charming escape the curse through the wardrobe to a land without magic just before Snow gives birth to baby Emma on the side of the highway. She awakens a day later in this strange new land to Emma’s cries. Disoriented, Charming reassures her that they are safe and she marvels over Emma; relieved for the first time since her wedding. They got away. Good will always win.

Modern AU: David and Snow show Emma her story in the book for the first time. They talk about their excitement for her birth, the curse, and explain that she’s real a life princess born of true love who will one day be a mighty savior.

“My blanket! That’s me??”

“Yep.”

“It sure is.”

au verse: Mid 90’s.

Snow & Emma share some giggles after Emma convinced her mother that having a cocoa with cinnamon right before bed wouldn’t keep them awake all night. Wrong. Thank goodness schools out for the summer.

Modern AU: Early 90’s setting. Woken by Emma’s excitement over watching Saturday morning cartoons in the living area of the loft; Snow gets her first glimpse to Disney’s version of her life.

“Good morning honey. Keep it on low, okay?”

“Kay!” Emma bounced excitedly.

*Mary Margaret is hopeful for a little more sleep but eventually gives up and watches along finding the movie eerily familiar in some places.*

“Emma Sweetie. What is this??”

“Snow White and the Seve--”

“Oh my gods.”

Modern AU verse.

Inspired by far too many fanfics with a similar premise honestly.

Mary and David broke up due to his torn commitments to Kathryn. Mary Margaret found herself pregnant after the fact and is giving the baby up for adoption. She doesn’t consult David. (Or maybe she does? And that’s why that aren’t on speaking terms?) They reconcile when he shows up the hospital after Emma is born. She’s missed him terribly. He’s been hallow without her. They comfort each other; clearly still very much in love even if it’s messy. ( Very messy and far from an instant happily ever after) Did they give it a go of raising her together or will Mary continue with the adoption? That’s up to the eye of the beholder. Or in some cases; the fanfic writer.

AU Verse Parallels

Snow escapes the curse via the wardrobe  and returns with her daughter and grandson 28 years later to break the curse.

Snow and Charming escape the curse together, just before Snow gives birth to baby Emma all of them making it to a land without magic where they raise Emma until she’s 28 and they find storybrooke and break the curse.
