Roommates! :D
So... I just found out who my roommate is! I'm really, really excited!! :) Her name is Emily,and we've been texting back and forth and she seems pretty nice! We're both ready to be at Sweet Briar already. :)
Getting the roommate and housing package really helped me today, because when I woke up I was extremely sick. :( The same thing happened to me yesterday though, so I thought I'd try and do something similar. I got up and did something. Yesterday, we all went to the 4th of July Celebration at my mom's friend's house. I love it there. They've adopted 2 little girls from Asia, Camper and Luna, and they are both so cute! <3 Camper is almost 4 now, and she talks all the time. She likes to play with chalk, and she is afraid of fireworks. I don't blame her. I'm kind of afraid of fireworks, too. :/ Luna is 21 months, but she's only been here in America for 2 or 3 of them. She is the cutest little thing. She is an albino, but she has some pigment, so her eyes are blue, and her hair is blonde, instead of red eyes and white hair. You can't really understand her yet, but she babbles a lot! :D She's a funny little bugger who likes to laugh when she gets messy.
Anyways... today, I obviously wasn't traveling an hour to get to a cookout. So instead I convinced my daddy (who is working from home today! woop! :)) to take me to the post office, just in case my roommate and housing package was there. I didn't think it would be(it just reached northern Virginia today), but it was! :D It made me so happy, I ran inside and my pants almost fell down! :p
I'm just sooo excited with all of this.
Because now, it seems real.
It seems within reach.
It's a little bit scary.
But a lot exciting.
