Aquamarina 

A young woman from Dakota City, Maria was among the many unsuspecting individuals exposed to the mutagenic Quantum Vapor.  This substance caused physical alterations and the development of metahuman powers.  Maria was bestowed hydrokinesis, the ability to generate and mentally control water.  She was additionally able to transform her entire body into a watery substance highly impervious to harm.

Maria chose to use her newfound abilities to become a super villain, taking the alias of ‘Aquamarina.’  She joined Ebon’s Meta-Breed and had numerous altercations with the heroic Static.  She later began a romantic relationship with her fellow villain, Hotstreak.   

Sometime later, Aquamarina was apprehended and convinced to participate in trials conducted by Dr. Todd who was working on a means of reversing the effects of the Quantum Vapor.  Maria agreed, hoping to be reunited with her family.  Hotstreak, meanwhile, interceded and attempted to rescue Maria, ultimately causing the experimental process to go awry

Aquamarina ended up bonding with the water of the bay, becoming an enormous, watery creature.  Out of control, she threatened to destroy all of Dakota.  

Working together, Static, Gear and Hotstreak discovered a means of administering Dr. Todd’s cure through electrical conduction.  It worked and Maria was returned to her original, human state. 

Actresses Erika Velez and Yeni Alvarez each provided the voice for Aquamaria with the former villainess first appearing in the eighth episode of the second season of Static Shock, ‘Bad Stretch.’

Shiv

Mean of spirit and dim of wits, the villain known as Shiv was troublesome even before he transformed into a metahuman and became even worse after he gained his powers.  He was among the many youngsters present at so-called ‘Big Bang’ where the mysterious Quantum Vapor was released at the Dakota Dockyards.  The mutagenic vapor bestowed Shiv the ability to generate energy-based constructs from his hands.  

The types of constructs Shiv could create was limited only to his imagination.  Although he did not possess all that vibrant of an imagination so most often he would use this power to create large, energy blades that he wielded with reckless abandon.  

Cruel and a touch sadistic, Shiv was easily manipulated by Ebon into being his pawn and acting as a member of Ebon’s team of villains, The Meta-Breed.  As a part of this group, Shiv would go on to have many encounters with the heroic Static.   Fortunately, Shiv’s impulsiveness coupled with Static’s quickness made so the villain never managed to land a blow on the hero.  

When The Joker came to Dakota hoping to recruit super-powered muscle, Shiv was eager to get involved, even noting that he was a ‘huge fan’ of The Joker.  Working together with Batman and Robin, Static was able to shut down The Joker’s plans and Shiv went back to taking orders from Ebon.   

Shiv was present for the final battle between Ebon and Hotstreak.  This battle resulted in the capgoship they were on exploding and it remains untold whether or not Shiv managed to survive this explosion.

Actor Brian Tochi provided the voice for Shiv with the villainous goon first appearing in the third episode of the first season of Static Shock, ‘The Breed.’
