Hey, @moonfly7 , sooooo I know it was Me who proposed the idea of Metamorphosis and Rena Rouge having a somewhat romantic relationship, but I think I might have a better idea?
Given how you said in one of the reposts about Senti-kwami's that Metamorphosis and Rena have PSEUDO-romantic relationship, I think it's fair to say that it's more of "love of the game" relationship rather than both wanting to be with eachother.
So I found this song which I found very fitting to Alix, or rather Bunnix in the Burrow with how whimsical and mysteriously ominous it sounds, but the thing is, it made me think of Alix.
So in Aftermath/Metamorphosis AU she'd accept the power Adrien offered her in his first days of being a Butterfly holder. Why? Because the Miraculous of Rabbit, the watch her mother left her stayed in it's passive state, so she's not a carrot crusader in this universe, which is an anomaly of itself.
Then, she became first long term akuma of Metamorphosis, The Timebreaker. Simple powers, masking so she could live like a normal human and touch that allows to steal the speed of others. With that, she has fun.
She loves rollerskating, she does, but even in city as big as Paris there's only so much worthy competition that she really only lives for the rare tournaments. Being Timebreaker allows her to do her two favourite things, rollerskating and pranks.
She helps (runs errands for) Metamorphosis for said power, simple stuff, but its a bargain for all the fun she gets from watching the heroes fool themselves trying to catch the literal definition of speed. She's just lime Flash, what did these morons think?
But here's where I think the real romance starts, because after some time, maybe right before Adrien creates Kitti, first senti-kwami, he lets her in on the whole gig because she proven herself trustworthy. Nathalie is slightly angry because this is just another point of failure, and maybe this girl will sell them out as easily as she decided to help them, which is to say she and Alix have a rough start.
At first Alix doesn't do much more than just sit and point out the stupidities of their plans from a comfy armchair she got for herself in the corner. Somewhere along the villainous way she starts giving them ideas, and so she moves from being an almost neutral party, to solid on Morph's side.
This I think is the time she decides to give fighting a try, but obviously Adrien isn't going to let into the fray without training so they spar a lot.
It's very hard fighting against a speedster with rollerblades, but Timebreaker also has to have her head in the game unless she wants to fly facefirst into the floor again. Nathalie would spar with her too, maybe to make sure their new member doesn't go in one punch, maybe to let out her own frustrations, maybe even to convince Adrien that he made a mistake because she's weak, but Alix is very capable once she stops losing her cool.
In a way she's very much like Adrien, just opposite. Behind her explosive, anger-filled attitude hides actually a very kind, caring person. Adrien behind his many masks, and behind his nice and polite personality has a a lot of rage that slips past his control when he's emotional. So Alix becomes more dangerous when she's calm, and he becomes more dangerous when he's angry.
Kinda like Smart, Cool Character taking off the glasses and hair tie before going berserk, giving them to the Angry, Explosive Character who puts them on and locks in.
"Replacing me so fast, butter-fly, I'm hurt. Where'd you get her, kid's playground?"
"Who's this roadkill I smell all the way from here?"
"You'll be in for a surprise when you fight her, Rena. All this time Timebreaker was just a support, but seeing how she was brilliant at that role we decided to let her try to be a fighter."
So they fight heroes and it's actually much easier for them, and consequently much harder for heroes. It was bad with lone Metamorphosis being able to fight with lots of holders at the same level, and now Timebreaker whom they only saw on the edge, or messing with them in breaks between akumas was proving to be a very capable unit.
One day things happen, an unlucky situation where one of them gets hit. Maybe it's Timebreaker miscalculating and being thrown back from Minotaurox's hammer, maybe it's Metamorphosis falling from the roof while being tied with Caprikid's drawn Bola, doesn't matter because they scream eachother's name and abandon all to save their partner. Needless to say that it doesn't help the growing feelings.
Once Nathalie warms up to Alix, probably during the time where Adrien goes out as Chat Blanc with Kitti, Nathalie stays with Nooroo and feels what Alix feels. The girl reminds her of herself with Gabriel. Sure, she stopped feeling anything to him when he became more insane towards his end, but she did feel. Adrien is quite the same, with both teenagers not wanting to address the growing feelings.
Maybe during one of their brainstorm sessions to come up with new attack on the scum, Alix blurts something about the way he wants to do it not being Adrien Dramatic enough. She quickly realises what she said and storms off. Nathalie who ships them both notices that the girl blushes, and turns to see Adrien do the same.
She confronts him as to why he hasn't made a move when it's obvious to her that he likes Alix, and he says something about him not wanting to taint her. That's when Nathalie loses it because the girl is as deep as it gets in their noble crusade so that's bullshit.
So she pushes them to be closer, making mastermind shipper plans which leads to many anime level events like falling on eachother, saying provoking stuff to make them accept having feelings for eachother because she sees herself and Gabriel in them, except as a parent she has this silent hope that at least for these kids it works out better than it did for her.
I can't help but to ship Adrien and Alix, so forgive me but she's a crazy, angry tomboy to his nice and polite poster boy, THE BOOT FITS!! I think it's fair to say that Adrien is into crazy girls if his canon self is into Marinette of all people, and me shipping him with Shadybug doesn't help. Also this art just proves that he's into Crazy.
I like the idea one person shared that not all ships reach their destination, some characters staying exes is better than continuing, so that's how I now see RenaMorph. MetaBreaker is obviously more interesting endgame ship for me! 👍
This is more of a side idea, but with Canon Amelie being shown as much better person than Canon Nathalie, I can't help but imagine that during those three or four months after Adrien became Metamorphosis, Amelie was busy forging documents and preparing stuff to get custody of her nephew.
Finally everything is done, so she and Felix finally go to Paris, except when they get there, they open the doors to the dining hall in Agreste Mansion and there Nathalie and two teenagers in suits but without Mask and Helmet are sitting, discussing the plan, which is right there behind them on a board.
Adrien, Alix and Nathalie lock their shocked eyes with equally as shocked Amelie and Felix.
Felix is flabbergasted. He loves his cousin because he's basically his twin, he's a brocon, but he's a tsundere as well so he never let it show, but Adrien outdid himself in his eyes. He thought of him as too kind and naive for this world, only for a guy to be best villain he ever saw.
Knowing Alix, she's already up with a fist flying to meet Felix's face when he calls her to stop and a lot of talking and explaining happens.
