i’m always very curious about everyone’s music taste haha so my questions for the sleepover saturday… 1) your top 5 favorite songs at the moment 2) what was the last concert you went to 3) your all time favorite album 4) a song that always comforts you and 5) a song you can listen to over and over again without getting bored of it 💋✨🎶

I tried going for songs I'd be most likely to put on right now, not necessarily ones that would be my all-timers (though some of these are both!), so the first list is a snapshot of vibes this week I think!

Top 5 favourite songs right now:

1. Everywhere - Fleetwood Mac 2. Northern Attitude - Noah Kahan (usually the version feat. Hozier but both are nice!) 3. Shut Up and Dance - Walk The Moon 4. More Than a Feeling - Boston 5. Hometown - twenty one pilots

2. Last concert I went to... I've only been to various choir and orchestra concerts lately, so I think the last band concert I went to was PMMP back in 2024 😶 time flies...

3. My all time favourite album is Once by Nightwish. Close to perfect and features several of my all-time favourite songs! Honourable mention to Sonata Arctica's Reckoning Night.

4. I have to whip out Everywhere by Fleetwood Mac again for this one alsjdhg

5. ... see above. But also Ghost Love Score by Nightwish! And Dark Chest of Wonders. And Élan. And Know Why The Nightingale Sings. Ok so several Nightwish songs is my current consensus.

2. What movie have you watched most recently? What did you think of it?

i really hate to say this but the evidence is logged on my letterboxd so. sigh. my fiance found this horrible independent movie on roku live tv called closer to god, it’s a retelling of the story of job apparently and it was maybe the worst thing i’ve ever seen

3. what are you looking forward to right now?

i’m going to trivia night with my friends on sunday if all of our work schedules line up ! we got 2nd place last time and the guy who runs it told us we should go to a more competitive venue because he thought we’d have a lot of fun and i’m so sure he’s right im very excited for it

15. What's a piece of advice you find yourself giving a lot?

kill that guy. (not the best at advice unfortunately because that’s always my first answer. serious second answers usually vary)

2. What movie have you watched most recently? What did you think of it?

According to my Plex watch history, the last movie I watched was Sinners back in January lmao. I loved it, the cinematography was SO impressive and impactful and the Oscar they got for it was well-earned! After that I actually also watched all three LotR extended editions at the movie theater, but those I've obviously seen many times before and love and adore.

8. favorite month of the year and why?

Hmm, tough one! Right now I'd say May, because that's when nature is at its best in my opinion! The trees are still light green with new leaves, many of my favourite flowers bloom, and you can feel summer in the air!

3. what are you looking forward to right now?

Honestly, just having one more week of vacation! No obligations, hardly anything planned, just being a potato at home!

4. if you could do anything at all today, what would it be?

I'd love to go skiing. But I'm afraid of how my knee would react atm :(

11. what kind of music is stuck in your head a lot lately?

The repertoire from our Christmas concerts hasn't left me alone yet! Oli muuan Jooseppi kirvesmies...

9. Best month for you this year?

Oh hmm. I kind of want to say May, because that's when I managed to see a lot of friends, won my choir's quartet competition, went to Linköping for a choir festival, and got and MRI done on my knee to confirm nothing was seriously wrong with it (which kind of sucks in and of itself, but at least i KNOW that now). Another possibility is July because I took my summer vacation then, March when I went to LA, or November when I went to München and concocted a really fun surprise performance at my choir's Christmas party.

13. How was your birthday this year?

It was a Thursday so I went to work as usual. But! Right before I went to sleep the night before, when it had barely ticked past midnight over here, the leaked footage and pics of Buck and Eddie hugging in the rain was published! I gotta say that was a pretty nice birthday present by 9-1-1! I also bought a fastlagsbulle for myself :)

19. What’re you excited about for next year?

Answered here but another thing is the vaguely planned trip to Budapest with friends that I hope we can pull off!
