Poor Titania is nearly blind now. She managed just fine as long as one eye stayed open, but now she only has about 50% left on that, and I’ve taken to feeding her in a tub to make sure she eats well.

She can spot food from a little distance, but once it’s right in front of her she loses sight of it and just lunges, so her food can’t move or drift on the current. Luckily she’s as interactive and inquisitive as ever, so catching her for meals isn’t a problem.

The majestic monster-bean.  She is now two years and three months old!  Scylla was only about 8 weeks when I bought her, so it has been a pleasure watching her grow up.

Scylla is a locally-bred halfmoon metallic steel blue betta, with a partial mask.  She has copper genes.  The red you are seeing only appears when the light source is above or behind her, save for her pectoral fins - those have always been red.

Sorry for the waterstains, but look at this beautiful blue baby who has a whole 10 gallon to herself and is spoiled rotten.

But honestly, she deserves it after living in 0.5 gallon, 2.5 and 2.7 tanks.  She’s a hardy little thing.  And spunky.

Wow, I’ve kinda ignored this blog lately. So sorry! It just hasn’t been on my mind these past few months. So, a few updates are in order, then. I’ve got rid of my 30 gallon, it was just taking too much of my time to maintain with three other tanks in my room. So I had to give Gave, Tobias, and Gesundheit away. Parting with Gesundheit was the most difficult. I loved that catfish so much. Since then, I’ve replaced one of the 2.5’s with a 10 gallon, which is the picture. I’m doing a fish-in cycle as my mom won’t let me set up another tank. I’m carefully monitoring the water parametres. Her tank is using the filter from my 30 gallon, the Fluval 206. Crystal-clear water ftw! Gale and Cthulhu are still doing well, no health issues. So there, a small update! Also, any recommendations for tankmates when Scylla’s tank is fully cycled?
