Such a fantastic girl! <3
... also silly little girl, who blows singular bubbles at me to signal a desire for blackworms.
Obsessed with his neon blue highlights!
NEW FISH !!!! ALERT !!! 🚨🚨🚨!!
So, I had the guy floating in his lil container and come to find out I added too much water to the tank to float him because it was overflowing FML so I reach to take his container out and he muther fookin JUMPS the biggest jump I've ever seen and jumps right INTO THE TANK. It was so elegant, the arch on the jump, the perfect landing.. the cutest lil PLOP when he landed in the tank.... JFC I wish I could show y'all the look of utter SHOCK on his face that he jumped and fucking landed in the big ass tank... by accident.
I can't even get a clear first impression photo of him because the sand is still settling from when I did some last minute plant trimming smhhh
In the first 5 minutes he has swam every corner, gone into every hide, got acquainted with the sponge filter and is already scavenging for food on the bottom of the tank.
I love him so much 🥹🥹🥹🥹💞💞💞💞💞💞
Picture of Fergus so he doesn't get jealous... But even Fergus was too engrossed by his neighbor moving in next door to pose !! I couldn't get his attention to save my life so here's a picture of his butt it's the best I could do sigh 🥹💞
BIG DAY FOR THE FISH TODAY !!!!
NOW I GOTTA NAME THE NEW FISH !!!!!!
My new betta fish Jay!
"To Be Loved Is To Be Changed"
Truer words have never been spoken when it comes to Axolotl (Axel). I rescued him on December 14th 2024 from a fish store where I volunteered. The owner let me take him home because he didn't think he would survive the night. The second picture is from today (2/8/25). As you can see he went from a tiny, weak fry waaaay to young to have been shipped, to the handsome guy he is today.
i found out i am not suitable to parent fish, my heart can’t deal with how short of a moment in time we have with them. my little man passed away from old age today, i am in shambles.
here is a doodle of him because all of the recent photos make me sad. i knew it was coming when the lethargy set in and feeding time wasn’t as exciting as it used to be, but nothing can ever really prepare you for the loss of a pet.
everyone say “swim in peace, meatball!!!” he’s probably in fish hell because he was an utter bastard, but he was my bastard, and i miss him dearly.
sleep easy, little man <3
After spending YEARS talking fishblr, I am happy to announce that I finally set up my first tank!
Anyway, this is Lohengrin, a opal Halfmoon! He was in such a cloudy looking cup. The staff told me that he was on the shelf for awhile (either because he wasn't a bright red or blue that's popular with kids, or that he was one of the most expensive fish in that store)
I've considered myself a viewer of fishblr for years. I couldn't get a fish because I was either a broke teen, or a college student who moved dorms too frequently. I found a 5 gal collecting dust at work, ans decided to finally set up a tank!
