Feb Blog a day - Day 13

How would someone woo you?

No idea. Modern dating baffles me and conventional dating is dead and long, long gone I’m guessing. I’m always amazed when someone likes me.

How not to woo me:

On Monday I rushed out to the car 20 minutes before a conference call, just in time for a round trip to 7/11 for coffee. Guy walking by with his dog backpedaled to point out that I had a flat tire. Not just low, but F-L-A-T.

After the call, a neighbor pumped up the tire so I could take it in to be fixed.

The tire shop owner kept staring at me as he was sharing his life story with me. Then he said, “I can’t stop looking at you, you remind me of someone!” For some reason, I’m not sure why, but I really thought he was going to say his wife...

Well, even better...

His MOTHER!

So apparently, I look like a Mexican woman from Michoican, who gave birth to  TWENTY-ONE (21) children, (no twins, I asked). To make the situation even more awkward, he brought by each of his mid-50s sons over, asking each, “doesn’t she look like grandma?!!” They all agreed that I look like grandma.

OMG.

That was a first, I looked like someone my age’s grandmother. Well, we aren’t bringing sexy back, and any wooing, seems a LONG way out of the picture.

I’m currently re-thinking dyeing my gray hair.
