today is a day where i think way too goddamn hard about the fact that blackwall DIDNT kill the damn kids. he gave the order. he takes responsibility because he gave the order, not because he was the one with blade in hand cutting them down. like. i fear this is exactly WHY he gets on a non-romanced inquisitor’s ass (and also a romanced inquisitor, albeit to a lesser extent) about their responsibility to the people they lead. the people who follow their orders. and yeah, he’s being hypocritical to a certain extent, but the hypocrisy is kind of the point. he has to come to terms with the man he once was, and the fact that he HAS changed, whether intentionally or not. and then he has to take responsibility for his actions and accept judgement. and that’s exactly what he does.
