Mharnii and Korri'ta have been part of the Skrittsburgh scratch since Mharnii was fourteen and Korri'ta was an unnamed cub. They're a part of the scratch as much as any of the skritt there, and loyal to the king.

It's the king, in fact, who gives Mharnii leave to follow Menelaus after they meet, to make sure he doesn't cause any more trouble.
