i need people to stop recommending iwtv to heated rivalry fans just because "it's funny to shock them"

please... these are totally different fucking shows.

this is like with fanfiction. you need a slow gradual path from A to G with many stops. you don't just jump straight into the deep end, because you won't know how to fucking behave when met with heavy themes.

i am already seeing people say things like "if they include gabristat i won't watch s3 because why would they want to have incest in their show that's gross." and obviously the cherry picking on which characters are somehow justified in their actions and which are the devil (*cough* it's always armand who is seen as evil personified *cough*) - (that being said, you're obviously allowed to dislike characters for their actions. i just don't think its okay to somehow act like your fav is somehow superior. because what do you mean lestat's trauma excuses his actions, but armand should be executed? )

i don't need more of that.

Food for thought bc bound consumes me: what if Drax was the one who was supposed to leave Hythae?  Now hear me out okay— Asri’s said several times now that’s he’s not as smart as Drax, that Drax was always going to be the one to do big things. Additionally, we know Drax was a scholar at the Academy, and a very very good one, according to Asri. Space exploration seems right up that alley, right, especially for a Rae version? But here was the kicker once I got thinking—

Drax built the rebreather. Drax can repair the rebreather. Why send someone to space with one-of-a-kind piece of equipment if they don’t know how to fix it? At least if it ever broke for Drax, he could fix it. Not wait and hope someone else can like Asri had to.

So why did Asri go to space instead? Well, I’ve been toying with there having been an accident that may or may not have been Asri’s fault (think Ash and the fire), and Drax was injured in it somehow which is why he has the prosthetic leg/weird eye (think Draeke’s burns). The injury was bad so Drax wouldn’t’ve been all healed up in time, Asri is his brother and an apprentice so he steps in. However that hinges on the whole leg but being recent, and not something from when they were younger, which is why I’m not 100% on it yet.

I just think that this would add a whole other layer of issues to that superiority complex Irsa’s rocking and the survivor’s guilt Asri has. Imagine being the first of your species off planet, then everyone dies and you’re all alone… and you were never supposed to be there in the first place.
