Tiens ça faisait longtemps que j’avais pas fait d’affiches pour Miët ! (faut dire, elle les fait extrêmement bien elle-même) Voilà donc un visuel tout à fait hipster pour sa prochaine date à Nantes. Viendez, ça va être cool ! = (recyclage google image + photo-montage x colorisations et bidouillage numérique)

Cryptids, the subjects of Cryptozoology, the study of animals you can’t quite prove exist. It’s also the name of a new EP released by Miët on La Belle Sauvage Records for which i co-designed the artwork with Suzy LeVoid, the entity behind the music. Suzy designed the inside of the sleeve as well as all things written, we co-drew the sprawling mapoïd (with nib and ink, switching sides every time a song would change on whatever music we were listening to) that makes the front and the back, and i was more in charge of layout i guess. The design was then printed using the embossing technique of typography by Imprimerie Trace onto cardboard. As you can see, they did a beautiful job. I also created 5 cryptids to illustrate the 5 songs which can be found on the inlay cards hidden behind the lyrics of said songs. I’ll be sharing those in the coming weeks, so keep your eyes peeled !
