It’s natural that the moment the sun starts to make an extended appearance over the city, the word summer is the only whispered among citizens. Every year, a whole host of events are organised through the warmer months to keep kids and adults alike busy and off the streets; dressing as a superhero, late night dinners in museums — there’s something for everyone. This year is no different!
“I won’t be at the forefront of these celebrations, but I will be allocating increased police presence to larger events, such as the upcoming music festival.” She teases with a bright grin, eyes sparkling through the press camera. “Please enjoy your summer with no fear. The SPD are dedicated to protecting our citizens and we will stop at nothing to ensure that crime rates begin to fall from this constant rate we have been stuck at for so long. Thank you for your time.”
THE TAG FOR THIS EVENT IS mi:summer!
OOC and IC, this event lasts the duration of summer. This is set up to allow us to run mini events over the course of the summer months under this umbrella tag.
Each of these mini events may or may not have their own full story line attached like full events like mi:valentine/mi:valentine18! You’ll have to wait and see~!
Each of these mini events also have the potential to contain hidden surprises and rewards... We’re still discussing how best to reward you all and your muses for your continued dedication and love for MI, but rest assured that anything you do now will be honoured when we’re ready to implement new features to give MI a refresher! For now, you’ll just have to participate to see what awaits... 😏
Alike last year’s summer event, members are welcome to submit their own events! The only difference is you must fill in this incredibly short form HERE so we can make a full mibulletin post about it for you!
As always, this event and all its mini events are 100% optional.
Most importantly, though; have fun! Happy summer, MI ♥
BREAKING: MISSING LEA OF BRIGHT ENT’S GLORY FOUND AFTER 76 HOURS OF SPD EFFORT
After a tough 76 hours, Bright Entertainment have confirmed that GLORY leader Lea has been found and reunited with her family earlier this week. The 20-year-old was discovered after SPD received an anonymous call from a public phone by Han River in Yongsan-gu. She spent an night in hospital before her parents took her back to their home in Mapo-gu. In their statement, Bright Entertainment said she is ‘safe and extremely happy to be home. She will be resting with her family until she feels ready to discuss her future with GLORY.’.
The SPD has, however, faced criticism lead by the families of the other two victims of the attack who are yet to be found. It is currently unknown if the protesting families intend to sue.

[ +353, -62 ] i’m glad to hear she’s safe, but finding one victim doesn’t mean this is any less of a problem... the spd need to do more to ensure these things don’t happen. crime rates here are so high... spd, please... ㅠㅠ
[ +262, -21 ] it took the spd 76 hours to find her yet it’s been almost two months and we’ve barely gotten an update on the 20+ missing from the night of the valentine arrest... typical spd.
[ +180, -59 ] the spd are doing their best. they found one; let’s stay optimistic for the rest!!
[ +132, -19 ] wonder if she’ll return to the industry. her company are clearly eager to make a fortune taking advantage of this press, asking her to get in touch when she’s ready to discuss her career.... do they have no shame?
BREAKING: BRIGHT ENT GROUP GLORY'S LEA MISSING AFTER CHILDREN’S CELEBRATORY FESTIVAL
The status of GLORY member Lea is unknown as SPD and Bright Entertainment confirm the 20-year-old idol to be missing after performing at the Childrens’ Celebratory Festival earlier today. The event was one of many encouraged and coordinated by SPD Chief Choi Jiwoo and a number of SPD officers as part of a tribute to the former chief, Lee Hyori, and her promise to the youth of Seoul. Witnesses say Lea, real name Lee Ayeon, was last seen exiting the stage and having her make-up retouched backstage after the group’s set ahead of the closing act in which she would take the stage with all guest performers.
In a statement released by Bright Entertainment, she is described as a ‘vibrant, loving leader’ who would ‘never stray from her girls’. It is believed that she did not leave the venue by choice.
SPD are calling for any witnesses who may have seen her around or after 5:30 PM. The SPD’s official statement states ‘She is 161cm tall and roughly 44kg. She has long, dark brown hair and was last seen wearing a white shirt and red tennis skirt. If you have any information about her or any of the other two victims that you feel will be helpful, please call.’
The remaining two victims are 21-year-old Baek Suyeon and 23-year-old Lee Kwanghyun.

[ +334, -15 ] this is tragic... I hope she’s okay. this city is so unsafe. entertainment companies need to do more to protect their idols. if this happened whilst at work anywhere else, the company would be in big trouble. where were the spd? where were her bodyguards? this stuff makes me scared to leave the house...
[ +291, -87 ] people are going missing in our city every day, why is she so special... heol...

As explained above, music event organisers have put together a music festival honouring Seoul’s youth and their everlasting love of the music industry — the Children’s Celebratory Festival!
You can write about this should you wish to starting now, but please remember that the event itself is held on Saturday, July 14th. The concert starts at 2 PM and is predicted to last to around 9 PM, however, it is possible for time to run over due coordinating, largely due to the amount of groups performing.
Speaking of which, in terms of groups, assume recent big names like those of SM and JYP will have performed! It’s unlikely for veterans to make an appearance, especially given that the performances are to honour the youth (of which most idols nowadays are still!), but if you have any specific questions about this (or anything else), feel free to IM the main or Admin Woo directly!
Structure of the concert is as you’d expect of a K-Pop festival — title tracks, ments, collaborations! There will also be short intervals throughout, as well as street food and drinks vendors around for refreshments. The festival is in an open air arena.
Technically, there’s no deadline for this, but note that a follow-up or rounding off for this event will be posted on the day itself right after our regular mi:saturday, so if you want to get involved, we recommend posting about it before then if you can!
