Evenly Yoked
watch
We were thoroughly transfixed when we came across Alex Cameron three years ago when he released a music video for his song She’s Mine. How time has flown by so quickly is an enigma we might never be able to figure out. Our fixation with the artist, who’s also one third of Sydney electronic trio Seekae, continues with the announcement of his new album Miami Memory, whose synth bouncing title track you can take in via its recent music video above. The picturesque clip stars Cameron’s girlfriend, an actor and artist named Jemima Kirke. A touch of Future Islands and The Killers lines the indie rock meets synthpop emulsion. New today (shared below) alongside the announcement of his new album is Alex Cameron’s Divorce, a more heartland rock leaning frayed, jangly twanger. New album Miami Memory arrive September 13th via Secretly Canadian. Pre-order, here.
I can't believe they dream about it
Moving on to somewhere new
I swear no one does this city right
But me and you
Cellulite massage and cocktails
Bursting fireworks over the sea
Maybe I know at the end of the day
The water's rising and it's hard to breathe
Eating your ass like an oyster
The way you came like a tsunami
Our love is strong like a city
In Miami Memory
