In a Fix, In a Bind || Mianca
@miissbiianca Milo had officially been fired.
He’d gotten the email to come in and talk to the head of the deparment, and he knew before even arriving on campus what the verdict would be. The investigation was a quiet, but therefore efficient one, and Milo knew that he couldn’t hide the truth from anyone. When it came to demonic matters, Pride University was well-equipped to provide the police with the proper tools to locate and identify location and type of rift. Milo would be a fool to try to hide the evidence because the evidence was in the magi-atmosphere by now and he...well, he was just Milo.
Plus, Milo couldn’t let Dipper take the fall. It was either one of them, or both of them and it shouldn’t be both of them. That call was an easy one.
So he’d confessed in the end to building the rift, confessed by being beguiled by the demon. Milo saw it as paying the smallest penance he could for all the hurt he had caused.
All in all, his punishment was light, if only because Bill Cipher was such a high class of demon, skilled in mind control. Milo was fired, his name seared into the Tribunal’s Book (which meant he would probably be watched from afar, no matter where he went), and the odds of him getting another professorship in England? Er, slim to none.
He didn’t fight it. He just nodded when the guillotine came down and then headed to his office to back up his things. His classes had been filled with a TA since he’d been temporarily suspended and that same TA would see his students to the end of classes.
When he heard the knock on the door, then, he was pretty sure it wasn’t him that the student was looking for. Milo looked up from the sheet of papers he had just dumped into one of his boxes. “Oh, I’m sorry, I’m not in office hour--” he stopped. Blinked.
It was… Miss Bianca Gabor. The author from all those months ago?
“O-oh, Miss Gabor, excuse me. Can I help you with something?”
