When redditors complain about misandry I just laugh because it's only because of that website that I am a bonafide misandrist, I rejoice in your tears. I used to be young and naive, thinking men weren't sexist douchecanoes, thank you reddit for clarifying how wrong I was. Happy 2nd Cake Day to myself.

I track the misandry tag, as well as MRA and MRM and masculsim. I think I track a couple more, but that is not the point. The point is, I go on there and I just get... tired. Like, mentally. I look at all these people who are say "MYSANDRY 4 LYFE" and I am drained. There is nothing I can say. Nothing hasn't already been said before. I type out reasoned responses, and then post them and never get a reply.

How many times does the wage gap have to be debunked before people stop using it as an example? How many times to you need to prove that men are at higher risk for more forms of violence except rape, where risk is roughly equal, before people stop saying women have more to fear? Every response I get is an ad hominem. Every time I am told that I must be a cis white straight hetero man in order to have these views. Like women are automatically feminists. The irony of it all is when they find out a person is a woman, they are even more enraged. "Why are you not connected to the hive mind!"

This isn't me giving up or anything. I will fight, both here and in the real world, until people see that men do not in fact have an easy ride. No one does. This is just venting. If I can help just one person, then it will all be worth it.
