SCRIPTURE:

What offering should I bring when I bow down to worship the Lord God Most High? Should I try to please Him by sacrificing calves a year old? Will thousands of sheep or rivers of olive oil make God satisfied with me? Should I sacrifice to the Lord my first-born child as payment for my terrible sins? The Lord God has told us what is right and what He demands: “See that justice is done, "let mercy be your first concern, and humbly obey your God.” ~ Micah 6:6-8

OBSERVATION:

Four questions...

...and the answers are all no...

Though the last one is exactly what the Lord did for us...

...for me...

...for my terrible sins...

He told us what He expects...

...what He demands...

Is that too much to ask for what He's done...

...even if He'd never answered that last question with Jesus...

...which, thankfully He did...

...since obviously I can't do - 

- haven't done -

- any of the His three asks on a consistent basis...

APPLICATION:

Bow down to worship the Lord God Most High...

See that justice is done...

Let mercy be my first concern...

Humbly obey God...

PRAYER: 

Lord God Most High - Thank You for forgiving my terrible sins through the sacrifice of Your First Born Son Jesus - May I remember to obey Your commands to be just and merciful in all I do and think and say, and give You the glory and praise for everything You give and have given me - Please keep me mindful of the needs and concerns of those You bring into my life today - In Jesus's Name, and for Your honor and worship...
