3 Minute Makeup Challenge

I would be lying if I told you that I have been active on my blog because I was on hiatus for almost 4 weeks already. I’m glad that’s over so I can now check of things from my to do lists for the break. That include’s being back on track on the blog and of course spicing things up. I was currently brainstorming and decided to film a new video with my sister and squeezed in a quick shoot (just cause we missed it)

Jewel Tones

http://ask.fm/micahdelrI admit, my color palette definitely does not define these tones at all.  I unconsciously lean towards black and white. Basically, neutrals. However, there are are times when I would go a little more adventurous and veer a way from what I am most comfortable with. One way is to add color to any outfit or better yet, maybe wear an entire outfit full of color. (with caution, of course). Whenever I want to to do so, I always go this family of colors. I believe these colors looks great on everyone … jewel tones. Yep, they are rich and saturated colors which compliment all skin tones and hair color. 

Here is my take on “adding color”. As you all know, I’m always on the black trap when it comes to dressing up, meaning I always stick to the neutrals. But sometimes, I like to play around with it. Here I wore a striped blue button down paired with another jewel toned bag.

Business Casual

For college or working girls, here’s a business casual outfit for you. I’m on my third year in college which means that I’ll be taking my majors and some classes require us to wear corporate attire or business casual. It’s like if you want to be taken seriously at work, you have to dress the part. But of course, to break the seriousness of work , be fashionable. Don’t just limit yourself with the usual dark hued clothes like black slacks, earthly toned polos etc. Think of outfits that breaks out the usual. So don’t be afraid to go with bright colors and loud prints. Get out of your way and think of outfits where in you can work and play! I admit it, I was really excited to dress business casual. It’s like an excuse to get overdressed and get out of the same old casual outfits.
