Sunsets at Jumeirah
To be honest with you, blogging ain't that easy especially when traveling. I swear, to take awesome pictures you have to go through bringing tons of lenses and a huge camera bag. Before leaving for UAE, I did a bit of research and I knew that they have so much photo ops. One of best things about Dubai is that almost all the time, Sunsets are always perfect. along Jumeirah Open beach–I must say is a beautiful beach with clean waters and white sands. No trip to Dubai can ever be complete without taking a photo with the famous 7-star hotel, Burj Al Arab, as my backdrop. It’s one of Dubai’s most distinctive landmarks with its signature Arabian dhow sail shaped exterior visible from almost everywhere in the city.

Dubai Travel Diary: Day ONE
Wow, I can’t even explain how last week went. After one semester of countless readings, exams and yellow pad papers which all boils down to one term - Stress. Last week’s trip definitely made this academic break, the best one. I have been traveling lately and I am more than blessed to have been to different places.
Dubai definitely was one of the most rewarding vacations I’ve ever been too. I have to be completely honest with you, I was in shock when I got thereI was really overwhelmed by how amazing this place was, all the architecture in Dubai fit into how spacious it was, everything was BIG.
Aside from the architecture, I was also overwhelmed with the weather in Dubai. I was told that It was insane HOT and yep, It was definitely since it’s obvious that it’s the desert. I mean it’s already hot here in the Philippines but boy, the heat though.
As I said, everything is BIG in Dubai. This mall was huge and I’m telling you that it almost has everything you could ever imagine. This includes, the Dubai Aquarium, yes this massive aquarium is inside the mall.
We even got to take a look of it’s research center which includes the nursery, kitchen and recovery center.
I mean I’ve been to different aquariums but this one was the best one yet. They even have an underwater zoo that will definitely make you say “wow".

Next Stop, Burj Khalifa- we took a 60 second elevator going 555 metres up. And all I can say, It took my breath away.
Watching the sunset, At The Top
Similar to Bellagio’s Dancing Fountains, overlooking the Burj Khalifa and the rest of the buildings of Business Bay, Dubai Mall has it’s own.
And that’s Day 1, I can’t wait to show you the rest of my stay there.

How to: Style Denim
I sincerely apologize for my almost 4 week hiatus. Yes, I have been gone too long. My blog posts has put down to a minimum which in turn affects Instagram, Youtube and it goes on and on. Deprivation of sleep, eye bags, breakouts and less fleeky brows- I had to face to. I was primarily focused on getting through the first semester of senior year. Aside from the number of calories (which I regret the most), a couple of group meetings from different groups and subjects, to papers and meeting deadlines-work also takes place in the span of the whole month.
To end that “what took you forever” hiatus, aside from a much needed operation pamper thy self plan- I’ve come up with exciting things coming up for my blog. One of which, a lookbook on how to style denim.
Denim pieces- versatile and are super comfortable. No matter how many times you’ve worn them- there’s no shame at all. But admit it, most of you don’t get as much mileage with what you have and you probably stick with wearing them with basics-I’m here to help you break your ”used to” style of wearing it.
1. Raid your man’s closet
A denim button-down is one thing, say bye to high-waisted cut-off shorts and switch them up to something a bit more than usual. Longer shorts, yes I know it may look a bit baggy or boyish. Make it a lot sexier by wearing a crop top inside.
2. Go for Double-Denim
There’s something about this trend- it’s all about playing with colors. DO Wear contrasting colors and use them to highlight and hide parts of your body. DON’T wear an outfit with everything that has the same wash. I know you can wear all denim but mind you these tricks will definitely help you.
3. Repurpose you button-down
It’s been all over NYFW and the streets of paris. Again, working with the basics is quite exhausting- turn it into an off shoulder.Unbutton the top half of your shirt, pull it over your shoulders, Simple.

3 Minute Makeup Challenge
I would be lying if I told you that I have been active on my blog because I was on hiatus for almost 4 weeks already. I’m glad that’s over so I can now check of things from my to do lists for the break. That include’s being back on track on the blog and of course spicing things up. I was currently brainstorming and decided to film a new video with my sister and squeezed in a quick shoot (just cause we missed it)
The Third Piece Rule
Listen up ladies, here’s a secret or rather a must on how to look polished, completed and well, put together– taking your outfit to the next level. So how does it work? Let’s say your pants and top are your first and second pieces, , your third piece is an extra outfit element such as a jacket, blazer, sweater, vest or statement accessory. Swear, don’t leave the house without it.
1st piece: Buttondown; 2nd piece: Trousers ;3rd piece: Lace Bustier
Who says you can’t wear crop top on strict dress codes. Let’s break the rules of fashion don’ts. Wear a crop top on top of a buttondown to still look sexy without showing skin.

1st piece: White Shirt 2nd piece: Skinny Jeans ; 3rd piece: Plaid Blazer
Take it up a notch and live by statement pieces and I swear you’ll look 10 times better than your same old shirt and pants combo. Like this timeless piece, a plaid blazer. (this will keep you warm too)

Greyscale
Gone are the days when bright hues and prints were everyone’s way of making a statement. It’s almost the fall and we’re now leaning towards, shades of black, white and gray. Monochrome fashion is one of those classic trends that will never fade in fashion. Choosing head-to-toe ensembles in the hue make it anything but boring. To stick with my neutral palette, the key here is to accessorize appropriately to pull of this outfit in 100 percent gray scale.

Uniform
We always have an outfit or rather pieces that we end up wearing. I’m guilty of this but I must say I did a good job on making sure that I get to mix and match pieces, in this way, I don’t repeat outfits. I don’t know about you but I enjoy having to use my creativity in my outfits. I’m already at my last year in college and need I say that I do find myself having a uniform. You know, stress and a bunch of papers don’t do well and looking for an outfit is maybe the last thing that you gotta do, that’s why there’s always a back up and that’s uniform dressing. Corporate attire is a must in some of my major subjects so my go to outfit is a pencil skirt and a blouse. What I do is to grab unique pieces ( let’s say in this outfit I wore a vest) , a statement bag and heels-- voila! Uniform dressing 101. What’s your daily uniform?

Nothing but Denim & White
H&M White V-neck/ Armani Exchange Shorts/ Givenchy Pandora / Zara Strap Heels
To be honest with you, I hate it when I still have so many clothes in my closet that I haven’t worn yet. I try to avoid wearing the same pieces over and over. As much as possible, I clean and organize my closet every week so I keep track of what I haven’t worn yet. For clothes that don’t fit me or clothes that i can’t find my self wearing, I try to alter it using my magic scissors, cuff it, turn dresses to skirts etc. I like wearing unique pieces, so I try alter basic items to make it unique. Speaking of unique pieces, try to hunt down your dad’s, mom’s or even your brothers closet and I’m pretty sure you’ll find a ton of unique pieces that you can wear. Here I am wearing my brother’s hand me down shorts, I went on meetings and I went straight to school so to make it casual I threw on a classic white v. Heels made the outfit a little more fun than the outfit itself. Take note of this, I swear, you will thank me later.

Tough
Susto Manila Top, Bag and Skirt/ Forever 21 Cardigan
This week I’ve been running on about 4 hours of sleep each day, having a high dependency on high protein diet, running from meetings to school and it goes one. On days like these, I know most people would opt to wear the usual I’m-so-busy outfit formulas. Minus the stress, I prefer to glam up and experiment with my style. Here I wore a halter top together with a pencil skirt. I mean those two pieces itself would work but then again, to comply with the school’s dress code. I threw on a cardigan and my ever trust worthy backpack and boots. These unpredictable pieces works as these tough pieces create balance with ladylike pieces. I’d like to hear from you! Monday Chic
Mondays aren’t always so bad. We are all guilty of complaining about monday. We either have the “it’s-monday-again” feeling or “where-did-my-weekend” go feeling. Yes, I know but take note that it doesn’t always have to be that way. Mondays mean it’s the start of the week so better yet start it on a good note rather than prioritizing the bad feelings. (yes, feelings). There are countless ways on how you can do it, for me I like to dress up (well all the time) but I like dress up than usual so that I can feel better because I look good. Looking good, feeling you look good = HAPPY VIBES = HAPPY FEELINGS. Enough said. On the other hand, dressing up is what I love to do. Although, It’s time consuming, on my part i try to squeeze in a little time in my daily routine to do things that I love so in a way I try to have me time and consistently fill myself with good feelings.
Susto Manila Outfit
Jewel Tones
http://ask.fm/micahdelrI admit, my color palette definitely does not define these tones at all. I unconsciously lean towards black and white. Basically, neutrals. However, there are are times when I would go a little more adventurous and veer a way from what I am most comfortable with. One way is to add color to any outfit or better yet, maybe wear an entire outfit full of color. (with caution, of course). Whenever I want to to do so, I always go this family of colors. I believe these colors looks great on everyone … jewel tones. Yep, they are rich and saturated colors which compliment all skin tones and hair color.
Here is my take on “adding color”. As you all know, I’m always on the black trap when it comes to dressing up, meaning I always stick to the neutrals. But sometimes, I like to play around with it. Here I wore a striped blue button down paired with another jewel toned bag.

It’s up to you to go all the way or like what I did, add a pop of color to a neutral outfit.
