The fact that Spock has told Michael twice now that he loves her has got me so emotional right now. This is the same Spock that went four years without visiting his mother and eighteen years without talking to his father. The same Spock who broke down in The Naked Time because he never once told his mother he loved her.
Him and Michael have such a strong connection despite the years apart. Michael was the first person to truly help Spock begin to accept his human side and get him to open up to the anger he feels. Helping him channel his emotions through chess. Spock in Discovery grew closer to his sister and wants her to be an active part of his life despite the fact he barely talks to his family.
Given that he still hasn’t, and won’t, say i love you to his parents yet but so openly says it to Michael, and in Vulcan at that, just ruins me. Not only is he welcoming and accepting Michael as his true sister by saying it to her in Vulcan, by accepting her as a Vulcan, but he’s embracing his human side by saying it too. He’s reduced to that child again who idolised and adored his sister and can begin to grow from it.
God I really could go on and on about how much him saying I love you to Michael means to me but it would literally be the 24th century by the time I finish so I best not.
