Me watching my friends do anything
Domestic Abuse goes up 38% when England loses. Be safe out there tonight. 💖
I love at how wholesome the room of Grant doubles were to one another, honestly the best room
I’ve seen your kindness and your strength. I’ve seen the best and the worst of you. And I understand with perfect clarity exactly what you are. You’re a hell of a woman. You’re the one, Buffy.
If [Teor] just died, he's real mighty, the others there with him must be in danger. So I think, even though I'd really like to see what my friends here are doing [...] I think I have to dash as fast as I can to the Tachonis house.
disabled ppl we need to start lying to nosy people okay? you tell me i'm too young to need a cane and i will tell you point blank that maybe you should tell that to the guy who ran me over. you don't get an explanation of my health issues you get lies and depending on how much of an asshole i want to be that lie will be anything from a humble car crash to a 1 billion lions attack. mind yr business.
"i could never live like that" well maybe you'll have to because this happened overnight. yeah you heard me i was the most able bodied man in the world but then one morning bam i woke up disabled. yeah you could have that too. there's no cure either you'll just wake up one morning and now you have to live like me
"what happened" well have you ever seen looney tunes? yeah an anvil landed on me and squished me flat.
My job had a training on AI and I was surprised how honest it was about AI’s limitations and problems, and we spent our activity time finding errors and issues with responses made by AI. But it did beg the question, why would I use this
The trainer was like, think of AI as an intern, student worker, or new coworker! They can do tasks for you, but be sure to carefully check their work.
We just established that this “new coworker” is racist, sexist, and can’t do math - why would I ask for their help??
Sit, will you?
There's something so Shakespearean in all of this - especially after the use of A Midsummer Night's Dream earlier in the season, in Monica quoting Twelfth Night's "I was adored once too" in the dimly lit kitchen of her friend. It made me think about the Scottish play.
Ross arrives to tell Macduff the news about his family, telling him he will not explain further because in doing so it would also kill Macduff
And Macduff is shell-shocked, he only speaks to ask Ross to confirm that what he spoke is true
"My wife killed too?" he asks, even though he knows the messenger speaks the true. Rupert is the messenger, coming to tell Tony that Monica has died, not sharing more than he kneeds too, and Tony chokes out "My wife? My wife, Monica? Did you just say she's dead?"
In the Scottish play Macduff goes on to speak about how his family died because him, not anything they had done wrong.
Monica would not have been out in the storm if it were not for his actions. The photographs , Caitlin being kept later than she needed to, those last venomous voices he threw at her in the drawing room; that is all Tony. Everything all wrapped up in his never ending feud with Macbeth Declan.
Monica was a good woman, she once played the role of Titania perfect - a who fights with her husband due to their infidelity. She didn't deserve to die, she was breaking free of his court, and isn't that the tragedy of it all?
In one of the first eps Hal's theatre was described as a dithyramb that has gripped me for months. A dithyramb is a choral song lead by one joining the masses together. They were usually sung to honour the gods but that performance, that show, was sung in spite of one.
In a place where their people were once forced to perform in honour of Azgra Lash sang out his speech, the Pariah Blades rung, and Vokjan heard, 10,000 people heard, all of the lost souls who have spent lifetimes trapped within the Dying Fields heard and now that song echoes across the bridges of Aramán.
It honours the Rungjani who fell in Vokjan's rebellion, the ones who fell before freedom came, the ones who were made to perform in his name - its always been their song, their voice, their own story to forge.
"Robbie, what noise would you make when you get dropped?"
You are a sick but hilarious man, Brennan Lee Mulligan
The thing that got me was Vokjan commenting on the flowers, they can finally enjoy the flowers after an eternity of war
Coax (2024)
I am once again obsessed with Connor Storrie and his choice of colour and lighting
How are we keeping eyes on the Aurora? Just through your serpent?
If anyone's got a better idea.
Campaign 4, Episode 28 - Chasing Shadows
Due to all the bird references I've loving started calling cr4 The Flock until we get a new name for the collective group as a whole
Hal's theatre being a dithyramb? Oh my heart cannot take it. It's a choral song, always evolving, a single voice joining the masses together. It's the origins of tragedy and yet so much hope, often sung in honour of Gods but this one stands in spite of the Gods and that's beautiful. The hope, the song, of their people, their world, reborn in the heart of the city - The Hallowed Round indeed.
I'm still not over this because also what a better component that a thousand cheers humming the same tune
