Michael, Simba: Moodboard
i’m currently watching “michael” for the first time (i haven’t stopped crying since he came on screen) but i wanted to ask if you could write the scene where he meets bubbles and maybe mike brings him over to readers apartment where they take care of him for the weekend 🤷🏾♀️
Ofc 🧁🍪🍦👩🍳🥕✨
★ a weekend with you (and bubbles) ★
Parings: thriller!michael x black!fem!reader
Synopsis : Michael adopts Bubbles, the chimp in 1983, bringing him to the Hayvenhurst estate, leaving a weekend with you together.
Content: fluff, fluff, and more fluff! (Fluff)
after note: sorry if this is a bit short but I hope u like it!
First, it starts with a big truck that looks like it could be full with horses or some farm animals. You shrug, thinking that Michael wanted some new friends. Taking a sip of your strawberry lemonade, out in the backyard yawn, reading your long novel; previously having a picnic with Michael earlier, but he had to leave for some ‘work stuff’. When he says that, he usually means buying you expensive and thoughtful gifts for you such as jewelry.
You take a sugar cookie from the dessert platter, made especially for you from Michael. He’s a really good cook who can actually make anything that he puts his mind to, as well as an excellent artist. You breathe in the fresh, evening air, taking in the sweet bliss of nature, and the yellow sun hitting your caramel skin. A few hummingbirds zoom past by your hair, the wind blowing your hair to right side of your face. They land in a honeysuckle bush right next to your cherry tree, sucking in the sweet, honey-like nectar, humming contently.
soon, the yard starts to smell of zoo, and you wrinkle your nose, using your beige oversized cardigan sleeve to cover your nose.

“C’mere,” Michael says, bending down on his knees, encouragingly to the small chimp who is hesitantly walking to him. The baby chimp whimpers, pulling its hand back, scared. Michael coos, inviting him over softly, putting out his big hand.
“‘S okay,” he coos, taking the chimps small hand, fitting right on his palm. Michael picks up the baby chimp, wearing a diaper, affectionately rubbing its nose on Michael’s crook of his neck.
“Aww,” Michael whispers, using his pointer finger to softly pet its small head.
“Y’know what i should call you?” He says, looking down at the chimp, suckling on his finger softly. “Bubbles,” he coos.

you put down your book, placing a cherry blossom bookmark into one of the unread pages, uncrossing your legs to stand up.
soon you see Michael and a…chimp? in his arms, cooing affectionately as he walks over to you, his doe eyes widened, and a small grin on his face. You’ve never seen him like this except with you, so caring, like a father, you realize.
“Mikey,” you giggle, putting your French tip manicured hand up to your lips. “What?” He giggles, cradling Bubbles. You point to the chimp, with a whimsical look on your face.
“Seriously, Mikey?” You ask with a nervous chuckle, “you got a…monkey?” You question, giggly.
“He’s a chimp,” Michael corrects with a smile. “His name is Bubbles, I rescued him from this facility that didn’t want him no more,” he says, stroking Bubbles head.
“He doesn’t bite,” he says, seeing your hesitant outstretched arm out towards Bubbles. Bubbles returns your love with a nuzzle to your hand, making an almost purring-like sound.
“Aww,” you say, practically losing all your fear, as you step towards Michael, holding Bubbles in your arms, the cardigan serving as a blanket. You cradle Bubbles, cooing softly with happy tears in your eyes.
“Aww, baby, why you getting all emotional,” he says, pulling you into his arms, holding you while you cry into his chest, the tears falling onto Bubbles head. Bubbles yelps, startled by the wet tear landing on his head. Curiously, he swipes the tear with a finger, sucking the salty essence of his finger.
“Oooh, ahh!” Bubbles eyes widen in response to the flavor on his tongue. You and Michael giggle at the cuteness, taking Bubbles inside to prevent the heat from burning his fragile body.
Michael shuts the door softly, following you down the hallway to the secluded living room, toys and clutter littered all over the floor, causing you to stumble ever so slightly. The curtains are closed, causing the room to have a golden yellow tint to it, the sunlight seeping through the curtains, reflecting on the television screen.
You put a now shivering Bubbles into a cot, but instead he crawls out back into your arms, cuddling, and using your cardigan as a blanket. “Awww, Bubbles,” you say softly, closing your cardigan over him for his warmth. You rock Bubbles to sleep, his eyelids getting heavy, fighting for sleep. Eventually, he gives up and falls asleep in your arms, making you smile, looking at Michael’s grin plastered on his face.
“Aww, now you’re getting emotional, Mikey,” you terkule, putting Bubbles back in his cot. You plant soft kisses all over a teary-eyed Michael, feeling his warm tears drop on your rosy cheeks. You shush him, putting a finger to his lips to stop his sobbing. Pulling Michael by his yellow tie, you back up to the couch, your bottom hitting the soft leather. He falls over on you, stumbling and giggling, his neck falling on your face.
“I-can’t breathe!” You joke, flailing your arms as he gets off your body, the faint scent of his cologne hitting your senses. He rolls over on to the side, sitting close to you, his clothed thigh pressing against your plush skin.
Bubbles, who woke up from the commotion, crawls out of his soft warm cot, who’d rather be in your close embrace, crawls to the couch, snuggling in between you and Michael.
The room was dead quiet, except for the faint ticking of the clock in the hall. Over by the wall, something rustled. Bubbles was awake, blinking in the dim light. He peeked over the edge of his cot, clearly deciding it was too empty, and looked straight toward the couch.
He scrambled right out. His knuckles made soft, rhythmic thuds against the heavy carpet as he hurried across the floor.
"Hey little man, look who's up," Michael murmured, leaning back to open up the space between you two.
Bubbles didn't need an invite. He climbed right up the cushions and wedged his small, warm body directly into the gap between you and Michael. He let out a tiny, contented grunt, burying his face into your shirt while his fingers locked tightly onto Michael’s sleeve. You instinctively pulled the knit blanket up over his shoulders to keep him warm.
Michael leaned in, his shoulder brushing yours as he traced a thumb over the soft fur on the chimp's back. Sandwiched together on the deep sofa, the three of you just sat there in the quiet.
"See? He knows exactly where the warmth’s at," Michael whispered, a real, relaxed laugh in his voice. He rested his head back against the cushion, close enough that you could hear him breathe, watching the baby chimp drift right back to sleep. Inside the walls of Hayvenhurst, the rest of the world felt miles away, as you two all snuggled, falling asleep.
