Romeo and Juliet: Beyond Words to be premiered in Curzon cinemas on 16 December 2019.
Literally cannot recommend this one enough, since BalletBoyz Michael Nunn and William Trevitt did such an incredible job!
(more rambly thoughts here)
Go and see it for yourself, you won’t be disappointed.

SMF Classics Vol XXII: Michael Nunn - James Toney 05.10.1991
29 years ago today, James Toney knocked out champion Michael Nunn in the 11th round of their fight to take Nunn’s IBF middleweight title. The fight took place in Nunn’s hometown of Davenport, Iowa in John O’Donnell Stadium (now Modern Woodmen Park), an outdoor minor league baseball venue.
Nunn wore white Franklin trunks -
He had NUNN written vertically down the left leg (a nice little touch was a lightning bolt through the U:
He also had a logo on the front right thigh:
A little research indicates that it’s a logo for Castaic Brick. Nothing says “marketing opportunity for a California-based brick company” quite like a boxing match in Iowa.
(By the way - difficult to tell if this is still an ongoing entity, but I did find this commercial.)
Nunn wore standard red gloves and white footwear. Clean white warm-up jacket as well:
Have to appreciate the old-school 80s gear (and the mesh hat!) in his corner:
James Toney wore a black and copper look:
He wore the Jewish Star of David on his front left thigh (a tip of the cap to his former manager, Jackie Kallen), his logo on his front right, and TONEY in italics along the waistband. The side panels had copper piping.
A little detail on the logo:
Trunk detail (including copper piping and waistband):
Great warm-up jacket for Toney:
Classic fight - watch it here:
Respect box.
