michaelmas ask - how did Agau brainwash Michael into being loyal to her? and does he stay loyal to her forever? (unless that's a spoiler) <3

There’d have to be some pretty extreme circumstances for Michael to go against Agau’s orders, that’s all I can really say.

As for the brainwashing…

From the first moment he is awakened in the labs, Dr. Agau is enacting her carefully constructed plan to get him on her side. 

This process is a delicate combination of “you can only rely on me,” giving him a fear that he’s too powerful for anyone else to handle, and teaching him that Beth and the Gang are a danger to the world when they are not safely in Agau’s hands.

Also, you know, a heavy dose of unhealthy parenting. “I’m your mother and you need to obey me” works wonders when Michael has no idea what a functional parent is supposed to look like.

If Michael made a painting, what would it look like?? Extremely detailed?? Many different colors or sticking to one color scheme?? Splatters of paint on a black canvas or coordinated strokes??

He’d probably try a lot of different things, honestly. And he wouldn’t be painting with his hands or a paintbrush; he’d probably just manipulate the paint directly because it’s more efficient and he is that Extra

So he could replicate something in extreme detail if he wanted, but I think he would be much more interested in how he can use the combination of color schemes to express an idea not easily expressed in words. 

Splatters of paint on a black canvas sounds more like him than coordinated strokes, since he’s essentially throwing the paint through the air onto canvas. (at the beginning, at least. As he learns more about how colors combine and how paint behaves he might start exploring different things he can do within one color).

I actually really like the idea of Michael painting, maybe I’ll work it into canon sometime. Because Kati used to be artistic, and I’m kinda missing that aspect in SOLE already.
