Bruce is either reserved and takes a lot of breaks to think of what he’s going to say or just fills silence through purring to express himself. I still have no voice claim for him, but Jim Sturgess gets close. The English accent isn’t as strong because he adapted to the American one.
Michelle’s voice is quiet but composed and very melodic when you listen closely. She uses that collar from Nica to alter it when she needs to mimic a person.
Damien sounds always annoyed, like Takkun’s from FLCL; most of the time because he actually IS.
Bruce’ voice makes that effect like in the Monster in Paris while singing - get real intense and overtone all else.
Michelle sounds like Nana (the dark haired one) from Ai Yazawa’s Nana anime.
Yeah singing’s for girls - Damien won’t do it. MaYBE on Christmas, when Bruce gets really really really whiny.
Bruce’ arms and wings will pull a bit closer when he laughs. His shoulders shake, his wings keep still. There’s the smallest purr when he stops laughing.
Michelle’s laugh is the cutest, but sadly she doesn’t have much reason to do so.
Takes a lot to get him to laugh, but when he does, he does just like a real child.
Bruce is one of these annoying people who send you a text message as soon as you’re out of hearing distance, asking how you’re doing. He’s bad with parting from people and needs this reassurance that just because he can’t hear you anymore doesn’t mean you’re gone. Big bat baby.
Michelle uses no smileys or any punctuation errors. She writes like in a business mail; different to when she’s acting and alters her style.
Damien rarely uses smileys, too, and keeps things short. He writes a lot of messages actually, keeping both his parents informed where he goes and not expecting a reply. Bruce usually does reply within seconds, but Damien ignores these messages. They usually just say ‘Take Care’ or 'Thanks for letting me know’.
❅ - keeping warm/keeping cool techniques
For Bruce, to hide beneath Zagam’s wings sounds like the reasonable thing to do to get warmth. I’m not too sure how much insulating is still in the roof, so all these pillows to hide beneath may come in handy on cool days. To cool down, he’ll dig up some sand and lie in it. When he has a fever, cool towels on his wings helped well in the past.
Michelle rubs her hands and steals other people’s scarfs when she’s cold, simple as that. In summer or in overheated places her head gets warm when she’s wearing a wig. She’ll put her hands on something cool then and rest her cheeks on her palms when she’s sitting somewhere.
Damien finds there’s no better technique to stay warm than to add more and more sweaters until he looks like a ball. Long as his wings stay warm he won’t really feel like he’s freezing. To stay cool he’s really getting problems when he doesn’t want to show his wings - keeping them open for a while helps most.
✎ - taste in music/literature
Bruce’ IPod stopped to make sense a while ago. Beatles, Orchestra, songs about candy, Music Man’s music, jingles from ice cream trucks … I don’t even know. As for literature, he’s reading bedtime stories to have some to pick from in case Damien will ever asks for one. Which he will not. It’s a little bit sad.
Silence for Michelle. Music disturbs her while thinking and distracts her too much when it’s not fitting her role.
Damien likes pop songs and things that sound cool. No electronic or 'old’ things. I have the feeling classic rock annoys him.
Bruce likes to carry Damien for no apparent reason and put more food and candy in his backpack than he can possibly eat.
Michelle checks everything more often than she needs to, worrying she forgot something. She looks in every reflecting surface, checking her outfit; gestures; expression.
Damien is the most likely one to play with something when he’s nervous, like a pencil or a cord from his sweaters. Michelle tried to make him loose the habit to reduce the chance he’ll leave fingerprints anywhere, but it didn’t work out.
Bruce’ birthday isn’t his earth day, so he considers it to be on Halloween for obvious reasons. Get to scare some people, get candy from them, compliment others on their costumes and get some for his looks as well … he likes that.
Just to get something from Damien makes it an ideal birthday for Michelle. He usually gets her flowers which’s existence she ignores completely, but she’d be really sad when he’d forget it one time.
Damien’s ideal birthday is to actually celebrate his birthday, bUT keep things low. Not many guests, no all too big deal, no huge cake or something. He didn’t celebrate it until he came to Metro City and gets easily overwhelmed when you pay him too much attention then.
