 Making Space is a new innovative idea for Dublin. It is an idea that keeps growing, adapting and moving. An idea that is made up of one person and everyone at the same time. It is an idea that is about changing the landscape, the perception and creating experiences.

Making Space looks to inspire and encourage exploration through the curation of creative and musical events throughout the city, inviting the public to engage with art, music, design and the world around them.

Making Space was delighted to present the fifth creative in residency Mick Minogue at The Library Project.

Taking inspiration from the boobie traps from all the best from The Home Alone Movie, the night was a spectacular time machine that shot our generation right back to 1992.

Making Space at The Library Project is proud to present the second creative in-residence exhibition on Friday 29th of December. The work from the residency will be available to buy for one night only . There will also be a few drinks on the night to whet your appetite courtesy of Tiger Beer (www.tigerbeer.com) 

Home Alone with Mick Minogue Made This For the second week of our four week residency, we are delighted to welcome artist and crafter Mister Mick Minogue. During his week in the space, Mick will be channelling the energy of a super human and recreating the magic, excitement and playfulness of Home Alone. Taking inspiration from the boobie traps from all the best from both movies. The night will be a spectacular time machine that will shoot our generation right back to 1992. We will also have some lovely tunes from an assortment of places and a very special guest from one of the movies.  Let us welcome December with warm and happy hearts.  About: Mick Minogue is Dublin based artist. Mick is a multidisciplinary artist who trained and specialised in textile design in NCAD. As Mick matured his work became even more immature. He works with a very playful and illustrative style. In recent years Mick decided to honour whatever beard he has and work with wood a lot more leaving his textiles practice to more personal plush projects. Mick has a deep interest in nostalgic references to his childhood especially that of popular culture circa 1980-90.
